To do and perform such other duties as may be prescribed by ordinance or designated by the governing body. ~ection 3. The city manager shall receive such compensation as may be set by the governing body and shall furnish such bond as may be required, the premium to be paid by the city. I ~ection 4. In the absence or disability of the city manager he shall designate some properly qualified person or department head to perform the duties of his office. In the event of inablility of the city manager to name such a person, the govern- ing body shall name the acting city manager. ~ection 5. All ordinances of the city prescribing the duties of the heads of departments shall remain in force except insofar as they are in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance, in which case they are repealed and this ordinance shall govern. ~ection 6. If any provlslon, exception, section, subsection, paragraph, sentence, clause, or phrase of this ordinance or the application of same to any person or set of circumstances shall for any rea.un be held unconstitutional, void, or invalid, such invalidity shall not effect the validity of the remaining provisions of this ordinance or their application to other persons, firms, or corporations or sets of circumstances and to this end, all provisions of this ordinance are declared to be severable. ~ , PA~~ED, APPROVED ,AND ADOPTED this the ~~ day of ~~r-' A.
