<br />.1',2 <br /> <br />~ <br />~ <br />~ <br />C":l <br />tr.l <br /> <br />Alderman Seecroft reported he had been approached by Mr. C. C. <br />Holt regarding plans for water service to a proposed subdivision on the <br />east side of Interstate 35 about 1/2 mile outside the city limics toward <br />Austin. The Council noted that they had an established pOlicy against <br />providing utility extensions outside the city 1 imi ts ar.d that if Mr. <br />Holt was interested in being served by utilities he would have to arrange <br />for the proposed subdivision to be brought into the city. <br /> <br />The City Manager infor;ned the Council that he had been '~ork- <br />ing to arr~nge the City's accoum:ing procedure to meet the requirements <br />of the Municipal Finance Ufficers' Association in order that the City <br />;ni9ht receive a certificate of compliance. This would enable the City <br />to obtain a better bond rating if it ever became necessary to issue any <br />revenue or tax bonds. The Council approved the idea. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The Council approved the City Manager's recommendation that <br />the International pickup, now being used by the Fire Marshall, be <br />turned over to the Health & Welfare Department to be used in vector- <br />control work and that bids be taken for an,_'lfeconorny11 size vehicle for <br />the use of the Fire Marshall. <br /> <br />The City Manager was authorized to set up a separate account <br />in which the money received ror garbage collection at Camp Gary may <br />be deposited, as need2d. This money to be used fo:r vehicle replace- <br />ment for garb~ge collection. <br /> <br />The entrance road to the S~n Marcos Academy from RM 12 waS <br />discussed by the Council and the straightening of the entrance road <br />(an extension of Moore Street) WaS believed to be the best solution. <br /> <br />A request for water, sewer and garbage credIts by Mr. Henry <br />Kyle was approved in the amount of $48'.00. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The Council was advised by the City Secretary that Mr. Dare <br />Williams would be unable to serve as election judge due to illness. <br />The Council approved Mr. Jack Kerchville as election Judge and Mrs. <br />Sloise Wooa:. as Assistant Judge. <br /> <br />There being no further business the Council, on motion, <br />adjourned at 3:30 P.
