<br />)" <br /> <br />73 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE REGULATING PARKING OF MOTOR VEHICLES <br />ON PORTIONS OF RANCH ROAD #12 WITHIN THE CITY <br />LIMITS OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS; PROVIDING A PENALTY <br />FOR VIOLATION; AND, FIXING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it has been brought to the attention of the Gov- <br />erning Body of the City of San Marcos that Ranch Road #12 is not of <br />sufficient width to permit the free passage of two-way traffic and <br />accomodate parking on both sides thereof; and, <br /> <br />V~REAS, the best interest of the public requires that <br />parking of vehicles on the above mentioned street be controlled <br />and regulated, <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFOP.E, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF <br />THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> <br />Section 1. It shall hereafter be unlawful to park any <br />vehicle on Ranch Road #12 as follows: <br /> <br />a. On the Northeast side of Ranch Road #12 from <br />Hopkins Street to Hutchison Street; and <br /> <br />b. On the Southwest side of Ranch Road #12 from <br />Hutchison Street to Smith Avenue; and <br /> <br />c. On the North side of Ranch Road #12 from <br />Moore Street to Blanco Street; and <br /> <br />d. On the Northeast side of Ranch Road #12 from <br />Smith Avenue to Holland Street. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Section 2. All ordinances and/or part of ordinances in <br />conflict herewith are hereby repealed. <br /> <br />Section 3. In the event any word, phrase, clause, <br />sentence, paragraph or any other portion of this ordinance shall be <br />judicially determined to be unconstitutional, ineffective or <br />unlawful, such judicial holding shall not effect the remaining <br />portion hereof. <br /> <br />Section 4. Any person found guilty of violating this <br />ordinance, or any part hereof, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor <br />and, upon conviction, shall be fined in any amount not exceeding <br />Two Hundred Dollars ($200.00). <br /> <br />Section 5.
