<br />/: <br /> <br />The matter of the GSA request that the City consider some <br />type of improvement to Fredericksburg Street was again discussed. The <br />City Manager recommended that the City resection and pave Fredericks- <br />burg Street from Pat Garrison to Hutchison and to install a curb on the <br />eastern side of the street to control the water. The cost of the street <br />construction to be borne by the City and the cost of the curbing to be <br />borne by the GSA. This matter met with the approval of the Council and <br />the City Manager was authorized to notify GSA representatives. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The discharging of water into Hutchison Street from the base- <br />ment pumps under the Federal Building was discussed by the Council. It <br />was the opinion of the Council that corrective action should be taken. <br /> <br />City Manager Fuller reported that the preliminary plat has <br />been made of the Dixon Addition to the San Marcos Cemetery. This is <br />part of a 10 acre tract purchased in 1876 and has been divided to pro- <br />vide space for persons who do not desire perpetual care spaces. It is <br />intended that these lots will be sold in any quanity the buyer desires. <br />Alderman Sutton made the motion to accept recommendations and restrictions <br />for the City's operation of the cemetary which are as follows; <br /> <br />Dixon Addition; <br />1. Lots will be sold on a rotation basis without ability to <br />choose section. <br />2. No curbs will be permitted. <br />3. Head-stones must be fksh with the ground. <br />4. Monuments will not be permitted except in certain locations <br />adjacent to planting areas. These must be separately <br />approved by the Cemetery Advisory Board. <br />5. No plantings will be permitted. <br />6. The price per grave space (lot) shall be $25.00. <br /> <br />PERPETUAL CARE <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />1. <br />ground. <br />2. Alderman Sutton moved the adoption <br />of TMRS #2 as aoon as the conditions can be completed. Alderman Korff <br />seconded, motion carried. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Alderman Korff moved that the Thompson-Haywood Company <br />bid of $11.00 cwr less l~ be accepted for the City's requirements for <br />liquid chlorine during the year September 1961 through August 1962. <br />Alderman Sutton seconded, motion carried. (See tabulation of Bids Attached) <br /> <br />The Board of Equalization for 1961 submitted their report <br />which follows and is made a part of these minutes. The Council unanimously <br />accepted the report as given. <br />
