/: The matter of the GSA request that the City consider some type of improvement to Fredericksburg Street was again discussed. The City Manager recommended that the City resection and pave Fredericks- burg Street from Pat Garrison to Hutchison and to install a curb on the eastern side of the street to control the water. The cost of the street construction to be borne by the City and the cost of the curbing to be borne by the GSA. This matter met with the approval of the Council and the City Manager was authorized to notify GSA representatives. I The discharging of water into Hutchison Street from the base- ment pumps under the Federal Building was discussed by the Council. It was the opinion of the Council that corrective action should be taken. City Manager Fuller reported that the preliminary plat has been made of the Dixon Addition to the San Marcos Cemetery. This is part of a 10 acre tract purchased in 1876 and has been divided to pro- vide space for persons who do not desire perpetual care spaces. It is intended that these lots will be sold in any quanity the buyer desires. Alderman Sutton made the motion to accept recommendations and restrictions for the City's operation of the cemetary which are as follows; Dixon Addition; 1. Lots will be sold on a rotation basis without ability to choose section. 2. No curbs will be permitted. 3. Head-stones must be fksh with the ground. 4. Monuments will not be permitted except in certain locations adjacent to planting areas. These must be separately approved by the Cemetery Advisory Board. 5. No plantings will be permitted. 6. The price per grave space (lot) shall be $25.00. PERPETUAL CARE I 1. ground. 2. On lots under perpetual care that have curbs which are broken and dangerous, the curbs will be repaired or removed at the optipn of the City. 3. The members of the paid fire department have indicated a willingness to be covered by TMRS. Alderman Sutton moved the adoption of TMRS #2 as aoon as the conditions can be completed. Alderman Korff seconded, motion carried. I Alderman Korff moved that the Thompson-Haywood Company bid of $11.00 cwr less l~ be accepted for the City's requirements for liquid chlorine during the year September 1961 through August 1962. Alderman Sutton seconded, motion carried. (See tabulation of Bids Attached) The Board of Equalization for 1961 submitted their report which follows and is made a part of these minutes. The Council unanimously accepted the report as given.
