<br />,- <br /> <br />/J <br />/.J <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE APPOINTING GEORGE C. <br />REED AS TAX ASSESSOR-COLLECTOR AND CITY <br />SECRETARY; SETTING THE COMPENSATION; <br />REVOKING ANY ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT <br />HEREWITH; AND, ESTABLISHING AN EFFECT- <br />IVE DATE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on the 31st day of August 1961 Mrs. Judy Bracket <br />Tomlinson completed her employment as Tax Assessor-Collector <br />and City Secretary of the City of San Marcos, Texas; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, there now exists a vacancy in these offices and it is to <br />the interest of the City of San Marcos that these offices be <br />filled with all reasonable speed. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE <br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS <br /> <br />Section 1. Mr. George C. Reed be appointed to the <br />positions of Tax Assessor-Collector and City Secretary. <br /> <br />Section 2. The compensation for the said George C. <br />Reed shall be set at $375.00 per month and he shall not be entitled <br />to any additional fees, or other emolument except as is set forth <br />in the annual budget. <br /> <br />Section 3. Any ordinance or section of an ordinance <br />which is in conflict with this ordinance is hereby revoked. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Section 4.
