<br /> <br />I ~ afit <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SEGrION II OF AN <br />ORDINANCE ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE DEFIN- <br />ING AND REGULATING ITINERANT MERCHANTS, <br />ITINERANT VENDORS, PEDDLERS, AND PERSONS <br />SELLING OR TAKING ORDERS FOR GOODS, WARES, <br />MERCHANDISE, SERVICES, PHar03RAPHS, NEWS- <br />PAPERS OR MAGAZINES; PROVIDING FOR A <br />LICENSE AND A LICENSE FEE; REQUIRING A <br />BOND; AND PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR THE <br />VIOLATION OF THIS ORDINANCE, INCLUDING <br />~ FINE Nor LESS THAN $10.00 NOR MORE THAN <br />100.00. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it has come to the attention of the Governing <br /> <br />Body that itinerant merchants are abusing the provisions of the sub-- <br /> <br />ject ordinance and are visiting houses at unreasonable hours in the <br /> <br />evening or when people are asleep and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is deemed to the best interest of the citi- <br /> <br />zens of the City that their privacy be protected from undue annoy- <br /> <br />ance. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the <br /> <br />City of San Marcos that Section II of the referenced ordinance as <br /> <br />recorded in Volume 19Page 62 of the Minutes of the City Council <br /> <br />be amended by the addition of the following sentence thereto, <br /> <br />It shall also hereafter be unlawful to sell <br />or solicit in said City as aforesaid between <br />the hours of 8:00 P. M. and 8s00 A. M., c.
