<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />,C) 14 <br /><'- <br /> <br />---, <br />'i <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING CERTAIN TERRITORY, <br />ADJOINING THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF <br />SAN MARCOS, INTO SAID CITY OF SAN MARCOS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the owner of a strip of land, said strip of land not <br />exceeding one-half (1/2) mile in width, being contiguous and adjacent <br />to the present boundry line of the City of San Marcos, and further <br />having less than three residents, qualified to vote for members of the <br />State Legislature, has petitioned the City of San Marcos to annex said <br />strip of land within its municipal limits, a copy of said petition being hereto <br />attached, marked Exhibit "A" and made a part hereof for all pertinent <br />purposes; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it will be of signal advantage to the City of San <br />Marcos to annex said strip of land within its municipal limits: <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of <br />the City of San Marcos, Texas, that the said strip of land, hereinafter <br />described by metes and bounds, be and the same is hereby received as <br />a part of the City of San Marcos, and the corporate limits of the City <br />of San Marcos are hereby extended so as to include said strip of land, <br />and from henceforth the territory so received and annexed shall be a <br />part of the City of San Marcos, and shall be bound b.y the acts and <br />ordinances of said City in accordance with law. <br /> <br />SAID STRIP OF LAND is described by metes and bounds as follows: <br /> <br />BEGINNING at an old iron stake at the intersection of the <br />East line of North Austin Street and the Northwest line of <br />Forest Drive and at the most Southern comer of Lot Twenty- <br />Seven (27) of the Forest Hill and College Heights Additions, <br />4th Revised Plat, as of record in Volume 151, page 23 of the <br />Deed Records of Hays County, Texas, and the beginning point <br />is on an East City Limit Line and is the most Southern Comer <br />of the tract of land herein described; <br /> <br />THENCE with the East line of North Austin Street and an <br />East City Limit Line and a West line of the heretofore men- <br />tioned Additions, N. 9 degrees 57 feet W. 434.92 feet, more <br />or less, to a point on the West line of Lot Twenty-three (23) <br />of the heretofore mentioned Additions and a North corner of the <br />City Limit Line and at the intersection of the East line of North <br />Austin Street and the extension of the Southeast line of Live <br />Oak Street. <br /> <br />THENCE with the extension of the Southeast line of Live Oak <br />Street and a Northwest City Limit Line, S. 43 degrees 39 f+.; <br />W. 70 feet, more or less, to a point for the most Northern <br />corner of Lot 112 of the Park Addition, third division, as of <br />record in Vol ume 56, page 47, of the Deed Records of Hays <br />County, Texas, and on the West line of North Austin Street; <br /> <br />THENCE with the West line of North Austin Street and the East <br />line of the Park Addition, third division, N. 9 degrees 57 ft. <br />W. 142.0 feet to a point; (This line is a mere approximation); <br /> <br />\ <br /> <br />~ <br />
