I'} <br /> <br />~ <br />77 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING COURT COSTS AND <br />JURY FEES FOR THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of San Marcos has no ordinance establishing court <br />costs and/or jury fees; and, <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is deemed to the best interest of the City of San Marcos <br />that such an ordinance be passed, <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the <br />City of San Marcos ,Texas; <br /> <br />SECTION 1 Court Costs: The costs incurred in the trial of a <br />criminal case in the Recorders Court (Corporation Court), which <br />are to be assessed against and collected from the convicted defendant, <br />shall be as provided in the Code of Criminal Procedure of the State <br />of Texas for the Justice Courts, including jury fees, witness fees, <br />trial fees and all other fees and costs authorized and provided by <br />law for Justice Courts. <br /> <br />SECTION 2 Jury Fees: It is hereby construed that a person <br />summoned for jury duty, and who .does attend and is sworn in by <br />the court, though not accepted and not serving in the actual trial <br />of the case, shall be paid the fee of One Dollar ($1.00), and <br />where a juror serves in the Recorders Court (Coqx>r ation Court) <br />for a day of fraction of a day, he shall receive a sum not exceeding <br />Two Dollars ($2.00). <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 13th day of November, A.D., <br />1962. <br /> <br />/ <br />"",.
