Chief Dispatcher Ronald Dannelley was <br />standing inSPection at his ReServe Unit and could not be present. <br /> <br />The City Manager reported that he had requested the forms to mak.. appli- <br />cation ,to F..deral Aviation Agency for financial aid in improving the <br />San Marcos Airport. <br /> <br />The City Manager gave a progress report on th.. approval of the City's <br />Survey and Planning Application for Chautauqua Hill Project, and stated <br />that a field representative from Housing and Home FinanCe Agency in <br />Fort ~orth had been in bis offic.. for Several hours that d~y. . <br /> <br />Work has been started on the SurveY and Planning Application for the <br />second part of the Development Project, Which is the busineSS area <br />along the south side of Colorado Street and the park and recr..ational <br />area. The City Manager" reported that letters had been sent to all <br />proPerty owners in the Chautauqua Hill Project, notifying them that <br />the City intends to acquire the proPerty in the near future. :Letters <br />are under preparation for notification of property owners in the second <br />project. <br /> <br />Property owners on Schulle Drive Were granted an extension until Jan. 15, <br />; 1963 to complete payment of their part of the cost of right-of-way for <br />widening the street. The City Manager pointed out that this may delay I <br />completion of the City's part of the work. <br /> <br />\I <br /> <br />The City Manager reported that a .local sign painter had been contacted <br />to present sketches.for. an appropriate sign for the,entranCe to the <br />San Marcos Cemetery. Bids have been requested for fencing the Cemetery. <br />Removal of the barbed wire fence and rock wall, and clearing of the area, <br />have improved the aPPearanCe 0f the Cemetery. <br /> <br />Alderman Ruiz a3ked the Council to authorize the'City'Manager to have <br />signs made for installation at City. project5, so that resldents of <br />San Marcos will know what public works are in progreSS.
