S. of Blanco River
To Broad~ay St. in San Marcos

I

Mr. B. R. Fuller
City Manager
San Marcos) Texas

Dear Mr. Fuller:

Our ofHce has been approached by representatives of Gulf Oil Corporation
with a request that the Corporation purchase a narrow sliver of land wbich
is now a part of right of way for Interstate Hi!!;hway 35. So..ciftcally.
this is a part of Lots 78 and 79, Block 1, of the Rio Vista Terrace Sub-
division.

The Department has reviewed the oil company's request and we are declaring
as sur"lus the right of way that the oil com{lany desires to purchase. I
am attaching a sketch and field notes showing the property involved. Would
you, therefore, present this matter to the City CouncU and have the Council
pass a resolution stating that this slllall {liece of land is no longer needed
by the citizens of San Marcos for road purposes. This should follow the
same pattern which you have used on the other parcels of land which the State
has declared as surplus.

Sincerely yours,

I

Ed Bluestein
District Engi:;e~ j) .

By:M~

J.
