<br />AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING CERTAIN TERRITORY
<br />ADJOINING THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF
<br />SAN MARCOS, INTO SAID CITY OF SAN MARCOS.

<br />WHEREAS, the owner of a strip of land, said strip of land not
<br />exeeeding one half (1/2) mJle in width, being contiguous and adjacent
<br />to. the present boundary line of the City of San Marcos, and further being
<br />vacant and without residents, has petitioned the City of San Marcos to
<br />annex said strip of land within its municipal limits, a copy of said petition
<br />being hereto attached, marked Exhibit "A" and made a part hereof for all
<br />pertinent purposes; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, it will be of signal advantage to the City of San Marcos
<br />to annex said strip of land within its municipal limits:
<br />
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the City Council of the City
<br />of San Marcos, Texas, that the said strip of land, hereinafter described by
<br />metes and bounds, be and the same is hereby received as a part of the City
<br />of San Marcos, and the corporate limits of the City of San Marcos are
<br />hereby extended so as to include said strip of land, and from henceforth,
<br />the territory so received and annexed shall be a part of the City of Son Marcos,
<br />and shall be bound by the acts and ordinances of said City in accordance with
<br />law.

<br />SAID STRIP OF lAND is described by metes and bounds as follows:
<br />

<br />BEGINNING at a point in the present North City Limits line
<br />of the City of San Marcos, Texas, where said North City Limits
<br />Line intersects with the West right-of-way line of Interstate Highway
<br />35, said point of beginning is also the most Easterly corner of the
<br />Cone Mills Corporation Tract of land; and,
<br />
<br />THENCE, N. 26023'36" East along said West right-of-way line
<br />of Interstate HighwllY 35 a distance of 356.9 feet to a point; and,
<br />
<br />THENCE, N. 24008'30" East, continuing along said West right-
<br />of-way line a distance of 1882.4 feet to a point, said point being a
<br />distance of 190.0 feet right of reference line survey station 738+21.5
<br />thereof, said point also being in the proposed North City Limits Line
<br />of San Marcos, Texas; and,
<br />
<br />THENCE, in a Southeasterly direction with said North City Limits
<br />line crossing the right-of-way of Interstate Highway 35 at reference line
<br />survey station 738+21.5 thereof, said proposed North City limits Line
<br />also passing through the South end of the Blanco River Bridge, in all
<br />a distance of 380.0 feet to a point in the East right-of-way line of said
<br />Interstate Highwll)' 35; and,
<br />
<br />THENCE, S. 24008'30" West, with SQid East right-of-way line, a
<br />distance of 1882.4 feet to the P.C. of a curve; and,

<br />THENCE, in a Southwesterly direction, continuing along said East
<br />right-of-way line, along a curve of 11 ,649.2 foot radius, an arc distance
<br />of 368.9 feet to a point in the present North City Limits line of San
<br />Marcos, Texas; and,
<br />
<br />THENCE, in a Northwesterly direction, along said present City Limits
<br />line, crossing the right-of-way of Interstate Highway 35 at reference line
<br />survey station 760+66.8 thereof, a total distance of 388.4 feet to the
<br />POINT OF BEGINNING.
