<br />WHEREAS, the undersigned, owners of 0 strip of lond contiguous and
<br />adjacent to the present boundory line of the City of Son Marcos, Texas, soid
<br />strip of land not exceeding one-half (1/2) mi Ie in width and further being
<br />vacant and without residents, in accordance with Section 974g of VATS hereby
<br />petition the Governing Body of the City of 5an Marcos, Texas, to accept said strip
<br />of land witnin its corporate boundaries that it may receive all the benefits
<br />and privileges of being 0 part of the City of San Marcos, Texas; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, a mop of the area is attached hereto and marked as Exhibit
<br />"A", the said strip of land being more particularly described by metes ond
<br />bounds as follows:

<br />BEGINNING at the approximate city limit line of the city of
<br />San Marcos at highway engineers station 722~ 13 on the centerline of Ranch
<br />Rood #12 near the South line of Franklin Drive in.the Cak Heights Subdivision,
<br />a subdivision of record in Volumem 164, Page 586, Hays County Deed Records.
<br />
<br />THENCE with the centerline of Ranch Rood # 12 N. 43"57 W 56.8
<br />feet to the point of curve at engineers station 721+56.2; and,
<br />
<br />H'ENCE with the curving centerl ine of Ranch Rood # 12 on arc distance
<br />of 443.3 feet, said curve having a radius of 2864.55 feet and ,0 long chord
<br />wh ich bears N 39"28 W 447.84 feet to the point of tangency at engineer's
<br />station 717f07.9; and,
<br />
<br />THENCE continuing with the centerline of Ranch Rood #12 N 34059 W
<br />263.5 feet to point of curve at engineers station #714~44.4; and

<br />THENCE with the curving centerline of Ranch Rood #12 em arc distance
<br />of 1805047 feet, said curve having 0 radius of 2292.0 feet, and 0 long
<br />chord which bears N 51'33 W 1759.15 feet to the point of tangency at
<br />engineers station 696+39.2; and,
<br />
<br />THENCE continuing along the centerline of Ranch Rood #12 N 80007 W
<br />66.2 feet to the point of termination, or being a description of 2640 feet of
<br />centerline of Ranch Rood # 12, and from which point of termination the approx-
