<br />AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING CERTAIN TERRITORY,
<br />ADJOINING THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF
<br />SAN MARCOS, INTO SAID CITY OF SAN MARCOS.

<br />WHEREAS, the owner of a strip of land, said strip of land not exceeding
<br />one-half (1/2) mile in width, being contiguous and adjancent to the present
<br />boundary line of the City of San Marcos, and further being vacant and without
<br />residents, has petioned the City of San Marcos to annex said slrip of land within
<br />its municipal limits, a copy of said petition being hereto attached, marked
<br />Exhibit "A" and made a part hereof for all pertinent purposes; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, it will be of signal advantage to the City of San Marcos
<br />to annex said strip of land within its municipal boundaries:
<br />
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the City Council of the City
<br />of San Marcos, Texas, that the said strip of land, hereinafter described by
<br />metes and bounds, be and the same is hereby received as a part of the City
<br />of San Marcos, and the corporate I imits of the City of San Marcos are hereby
<br />extended so as to include said strip of land and from henceforth, the territory
<br />so received shall be bound by the acts and ordinances of said City in accord-
<br />ance with law.

<br />SAID STRIP OF LAND is described by metes and bounds as follows:
<br />
<br />BEGINNING at the approximate city limit line of the City
<br />of San Marcos at highway engineers station 722+13 on the centerline of Ranch
<br />Road H 12 near the South I ine of Franklin Drive in the Oak Heights
<br />Subdivision, a subdivision of record in Volume 164, Page 586, Hays
<br />County Deed Records.

<br />THENCE, with the centerline of Ranch Road #12 N. 43057 W
<br />56.8 feet to the point of curve at engineer's station 721+56.2; and,
<br />
<br />THENCE, with the curving centerline of Ranch Road #12 an
<br />arc distance of 448.3 feet, said curve having a radius of 2864.55 feet
<br />and a long chord which bears N 39"28 W 447.84 feet to the point of
<br />tangency at the engineer's station 717+07.9; and,
<br />
<br />THENCE, continuing with the centerline of Ranch Road 112
<br />N 34059 W. 263.5 feet to point of curve at engineer's station
<br />714+44.4; and,
<br />
<br />THENCE, with the curving centerline of Ranch Road #12, an
<br />arc distance of 1805.47 feet, said curve having a radius of 2292.0 feet,
<br />and a long chord which bears N. 51>33 W 1759.15 feet to the point
<br />of tangency at engineer's station 696+39.2; and,

<br />THENCE, continuing along the centerline of Ranch Road # 12
<br />N. 800Q7 W. 66.2 feet to the point of termination, or being a
<br />description of 2640 feet of centerline of Ranch Road #12, and from
<br />which point of termination the approximate centerline of Westover
<br />Road bears N. 80007 W 226.5 feet. Field notes prepared from

<br />This Ordinance shall become effective on the 21st day of May, A.D., 1963.
