Worrell <br /> <br />Guests: <br /> <br />Mrs. Jerri Veidt, Tony Proffitt, Tom Buckner, <br />Mrs. Frank Taylor and others <br /> <br />The Mayor called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Alderman Pool introduced a Resolution setting the second Monday of the <br />month as the official time of meeting for the City Council, and moved <br />its adoption. The Mayor read aloud a letter from Addison and Walter <br />Buckner, requesting that the Council continue to hold its meetings <br />early in the week. Alderman Moore seconded the motion for adoption, <br />and on roll call, the following vote was recorded: <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />AYE: Moore, Pool, Ruiz, Stokes, Swift <br />NAY: None <br /> <br />V/hereupon, the Mayor declared the Resolution Passed and Approved. <br /> <br />The Mayor announced that he had signed the contract with Mr. Brooks <br />Holman as tax attorney for the City, and had initialed the corrections <br />made on recommendation of the City Attorney. <br /> <br />Alderman Stokes introduced an Ordinance annexing property on RM 12 and <br />moved its adoption. Caption of the Ordinance, which was read in full, <br />is as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING CERTAIN TERRITORY ADJOINING THE CITY <br />LIMITS OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS INTO SAID CITY OF SAN MARCOS <br /> <br />Alderman Ruiz seconded the motion of adoption and on roll call, the <br />following vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: Moore, Pool, Ruiz, Stokes, Swift <br />NAY: None <br /> <br />Whereupon, the Mayor declared the Ordinance Passed, Approved and Adopted. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Alderman Ruiz introduced an Ordinance providing for meat inspection, <br />and moved its adoption. Caption of the Ordinance, which was read in full; <br />is as follows: <br /> <br />"AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR ADOPT ION OF THE MEAT INSPECT ION <br />LAW AND FOR THE ADOPT ION OF THE RULES AND REGULATIONS AND <br />ST ANDARDS FOR THE INSPECT ION OF MEAT, MEAT PRODUCTS AND <br />MEAT FOOD PRODUCTS PROMULGATED BY THE COMMISSIONER OF HEALTH <br />OF THE STATE OF TEXAS AS APPROVED BY THE STATE BOARD OFHEALTH <br />OF THE STATE OF TEXAS TO ENABLE ANY ESTABLISHMENT IN THE CITY <br />OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS IN WHICH MEAT, MEAT PRODUCTS, AND MEAT <br /> <br />SS~ <br />
