Alderman Moore moved that "the Chief of Police <br />and the Sheriff confer and work out a satisfactory arrangement as <br />is provided in Section VII (of the Jail Contract); this arrange- <br />ment to contain the following stipulations: all Minor, Felony and <br />Female prisoners be entered into the County Jail at the time of <br />arrest; all other prisoners be entered into the County Jail between <br />8 a.m. and 5 p.m. This arrangement is to include the City Police <br />Officers who are authorized to sign entry and release forms." <br />Alderman Pool seconded the motion. On roll call, the following <br />vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: Moore, Pool, Stokes <br />NAY: Ruiz, SWift <br /> <br />Whereupon, the Mayor declared the motion carried. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Alderman Stokes introduced an Ordinance creating a zoning commission <br />and moved its adoption. Caption of the Ordinance, which was read in <br />full, is as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE CREATING THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS ZONING <br />COMMISSION; DESIGNATING THE PLANNING COMMISSION TO ACT AS <br />THE PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION; REQUIRING A PRELIMINARY <br />REPORT AND PUBLIC HEARINGS; AND DESIGNAT ING THE REGULAT IONS <br />SHALL BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH A COMPREHENSIVE MASTER PLAN <br /> <br />Alderman Pool seconded the motion for adoption, and on roll call, <br />the following vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: Moore, Pool, Ruiz, Stokes, Swift <br />NAY: None <br /> <br />Whereupon, the Mayor declared the Ordinance Passed, Approved and <br />Adopted. <br /> <br />Alderman Stokes introduced an Ordinance establishing Minimum Housing <br />Code. Caption of the Ordinance, which was read in full, is as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A MIN IMUM HOUSING CODE FOR THE CITY <br />OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS; STATING ITS PURPOSE; SCOPE; ESTABLISHING <br />MINIMUM STANDARDS; REQUIRING PERMITS; PROVIDING FOR ENFORCEMENT; <br />GRANTING RIGHI OF ENTRY TO AUTHORIZED PERSONNEL; PROVIDING FOR <br />APPEALS; ESTABLISHING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATIONS; REPEALING ANY <br />ORDINANCE OR PARI THEREOF IN CONFLICT; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE <br />DATE; AND, PROVIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE <br /> <br />I <br />
