)17 ., l/ II ::J) r AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING CERTAIN TERRITORY, ADJOINING THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITy OF SAN MARCOS, INTO SAID CITY OF SAN MARCOS. I WHEREAS, the owner of a strip of land, said strip of land not exceeding one half (1/2) mile in width, being contiguous and adjacent to the present boundary line of the City of San Marcos, and further being vacant and without residents, has petitioned the City of San Marcos to annex said strip of land within its municipal limits, a coPy of said pet~tion being hereto attached, marked Exhibit "A" and made a part hereof for all pertinent purposes; and WHEREAS, it will be of signal advantage to the City of San Marcos to annex s.id strip of land within its municipal limits: I NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the City Council of the City of San Marcos, Texas, that the said strip of land, herein-after described by metes and bonnds, be and the same is hereby received as a part of the City of San Marcos, and the corporate limits of the City of San Marcos are hereby extended so as to include said strip of land, and from hence- forth the territory so received and annexed shall be a part of the City of San Marcos, and shall be bound by the acts and ordinances of said city in accordance with law. SAID STRIP OF LAND is described by metes and bounds as follows: BEGINNING at a point on the center line of Ranch Road #12 at Highway Engineer's Station 695+73.0; and, THENCE, with the center line of RanCh Road #12 N. 80007 \-1. at 226.5 feet passing the approximate center line of Westover Road, and continue on in all 753.90 feet to point of curve a~ Highway Engineers Station 688+19.1; and, THENCE, with the curving centerline of Ranch Road #12 an arc distance of 1264.52 feet, said curve having a radius of 3819.96 feet, and a long chord which bears N. 70038 W. 1258.76 feet to point of tangency at Highway Engineers Station 675+54.5; and, THENCE continuing with center line of Ranch Road #12 N. 61009 w. 486.0 feet to a point at Highway Engineers Station 674+48.0; and, - I THENCE, leaving the centerline of Ranch Road #12 28051 E. 50.0 feet to a corner fence post on the North line of Ranch Road #12 for the Southeast Corner of the said 2.54 acre tract; and, THENCE, leaving the North line of Ranch Road #12 Yith f6nce and fence line on the East side of a 50 foot road N. 28051 E. 702.40 feet to angle point; and, THENCE, continuing with the East line of said 50 foot road N. 18030 E. 1112.40 feet to angle point; and, HlS~
