<br />)17 <br /> <br />., <br /> <br />l/ <br /> <br />II ::J) <br />r <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING CERTAIN <br />TERRITORY, ADJOINING THE CITY <br />LIMITS OF THE CITy OF SAN MARCOS, <br />INTO SAID CITY OF SAN MARCOS. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the owner of a strip of land, said <br />strip of land not exceeding one half (1/2) mile in <br />width, being contiguous and adjacent to the present <br />boundary line of the City of San Marcos, and further <br />being vacant and without residents, has petitioned <br />the City of San Marcos to annex said strip of land <br />within its municipal limits, a coPy of said pet~tion <br />being hereto attached, marked Exhibit "A" and made a <br />part hereof for all pertinent purposes; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it will be of signal advantage to <br />the City of San Marcos to annex s.id strip of land <br />within its municipal limits: <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the City <br />Council of the City of San Marcos, Texas, that the <br />said strip of land, herein-after described by metes <br />and bonnds, be and the same is hereby received as a <br />part of the City of San Marcos, and the corporate <br />limits of the City of San Marcos are hereby extended <br />so as to include said strip of land, and from hence- <br />forth the territory so received and annexed shall be <br />a part of the City of San Marcos, and shall be bound <br />by the acts and ordinances of said city in accordance <br />with law. <br /> <br />SAID STRIP OF LAND is described by metes <br />and bounds as follows: <br /> <br />BEGINNING at a point on the center line of <br />Ranch Road #12 at Highway Engineer's Station 695+73.0; <br />and, <br /> <br />THENCE, with the center line of RanCh Road <br />#12 N. 80007 \-1. at 226.5 feet passing the approximate <br />center line of Westover Road, and continue on in all <br />753.90 feet to point of curve a~ Highway Engineers <br />Station 688+19.1; and, <br /> <br />THENCE, with the curving centerline of <br />Ranch Road #12 an arc distance of 1264.52 feet, said <br />curve having a radius of 3819.96 feet, and a long chord <br />which bears N. 70038 W. 1258.76 feet to point of <br />tangency at Highway Engineers Station 675+54.5; and, <br /> <br />THENCE continuing with center line of Ranch <br />Road #12 N. 61009 w. 486.0 feet to a point at Highway <br />Engineers Station 674+48.0; and, - <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />THENCE, leaving the centerline of Ranch Road <br />#12 28051 E. 50.0 feet to a corner fence post on the <br />North line of Ranch Road #12 for the Southeast Corner <br />of the said 2.54 acre tract; and, <br /> <br />THENCE, leaving the North line of Ranch Road <br />#12 Yith f6nce and fence line on the East side of a <br />50 foot road N. 28051 E. 702.40 feet to angle point; and, <br /> <br />THENCE, continuing with the East line of said <br />50 foot road N. 18030 E. 1112.40 feet to angle point; and, <br /> <br />HlS~ <br />
