<br />(%3-/G-~ <br /> <br />~I <br />5'1 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION OF THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE <br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING THE <br />COLLEGE DEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR SOUTHWEST <br />TEXAS STATE COLLEGE, <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Regents of the Southwest Texas State <br />College has heretofore approved and adopted a Development Plan <br />for Southwest Texas State College in San Marcos, Texas; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said Development Plan is for the purpose of <br />projecting and developing needs and plans for the orderly physical <br />development of said college; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said Governing Body of said College has presented <br />the Development Plan for tie Southwest Texas State College to the <br />Governing Body of the City of San Marcos, Texas. for approval; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of San Marcos. <br />Texas. has recommended the adoption and approval of said Develop- <br />ment Plan and the Council has given due consideration to such <br />recommendation; and, <br /> <br />WH EREAS, the said Development Plan is found ~o conform <br />to and to be compatible with the general plan for the development <br />of the City as a whole. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Governing Body <br />of tne City of San Marcos, Texas: <br /> <br />I" That the Development Plan for Southwest Texas State <br />College, adopted by the Board of Regents of Southwest <br />Texas State College, is hereby approved; <br /> <br />2. Said Development Plan for Southwest Texas State College <br />is hereby found to be in conformity with and compatible <br />with the general plan for the development of the City <br />as a whole; <br /> <br />3. The Development Plan for Southwest Texas State College <br />is hereby found and determined to be in conformity with <br />and compatible with the Url:a n Renewal Plan for the <br />Chautauqua Hill Urban Renewal Area, Project No. Tex <br />R-73, San Marcos, Texas; <br /> <br />fl.-. - <br />) <br /> <br />4. The Development Plan for Southwest Texas State College <br />is designed and projected for educational uses including, <br />but not limited to, functions of teaching and research, <br />and to housing. feeding and care of students and faculty. <br />and intended for the primary benefit of students and <br />faculty. <br /> <br />PASSED AND APPROVED this the 26th day of August, A.
