<br />STATE OF TEXAS <br /> <br />56 <br /> <br />PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT <br />FOR THE SURVEYING AND STAKING OF <br />A PORTION OF THE SAN MARCOS <br />CEMETERY <br /> <br />COUNTY OF HAYS <br /> <br />THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this 11th day of <br /> <br />May , 1981, by and between the City of San Marcos, Texas a <br /> <br />municipal corporation organized and existing under the laws of <br /> <br />the State of Texas and situated in Hays County, Texas, acting <br /> <br />through authority conferred on city manager, A.C. Gonzalez by <br /> <br />Resolution duly enacted on <br /> <br />, hereinafter <br /> <br />"City" and Charles R. Swart, hereinafter "Surveyor". <br /> <br />WHEREAS, City desires to have a portion of the Dixon Addi- <br /> <br />tion of the San Marcos Cemetery surveyed and staked and a plat <br /> <br />of the new additions prepared; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, City desires to obtain professional surveying <br /> <br />services in connection with said project; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Surveyor is qualified and capable of performing <br /> <br />the professional services proposed herein, is acceptable to <br /> <br />City and is willing to enter into an agreement with City to <br /> <br />perform such services, <br /> <br />Now Therefore, be it resolved, that the parties hereto do <br /> <br />mutually agree as follows: <br /> <br />ARTICLE I. <br />Employment of the Surveyor and <br />Basic Services To be Provided <br /> <br />City agrees to retain Surveyor and Surveyor agrees to per- <br /> <br />form the following professional services in connection with the <br /> <br />surveying and staking of a portion of the Dixon Addition of the <br /> <br />San Marcos Cemetery: <br /> <br />A. Survey and stake sections 2, 3 and 4 of the <br />Dixon Addition of the San Marcos Cemetery to <br />conform to the layout containing eighty-eight <br />(88) blocks shown on Exhibit A which is attached <br />hereto and incorporated herein for all intents <br />and purposes. <br /> <br />B. Locate the necessary existing block boundaries <br />of said Addition to locate the new additions. <br /> <br />C. Set an iron rod one-half (~) inch in diameter <br />and twelve (12) inches in length at each block <br />corner. <br /> <br />D. Provide a certified plat of said layout to a <br />scale of one (1) inch to twenty (20) feet. <br />
