<br />:1 <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I d,t <br /> <br />STATE OF TEXAS <br /> <br />COUNTY OF HAYS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the undersigned owner of a strip of land <br />contiguous and adjacent to the present boundary line of the City of San <br />Marcos, Texas, said strip of land not exceeding one-half (1/2) mile in width <br />and further being vacant and without residents, in accordance with Section <br />974g of the VATS, hereby petitions the Governing Body of the City of San Marcos <br />Texas, to accept said strip of land within its corporate limits that it may receive <br />all the benefits and privileges of being a part of the City of San Marcos, Texas; <br />and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a map of the area is attached hereto and marked <br />as Exhibit "A", the said strip of land being more particularly described by metes <br />and bounds as follows: <br /> <br />BEGINNING, at a point in the city limit line, which <br />point is the Northeast corner of Lot 2 (Northwest corner Lot 3), <br />Block 4. Oak Heights Addition, and in the Southeast right-of- <br />way line of LaRue Drive; and, <br /> <br />THENCE, in a Northeasterly direction along the South- <br />east right-of-way line of LaRue Drive to a point, which point is the <br />Northwest corner of Lot 8 (Northeast corner Lot 7), Block 4, Oak <br />Heights Addition; and, <br /> <br />THENCE, in a Southeasterl y direction along the common <br />line between Lots 7 & 8, Block 4. to a point which is the Southwest <br />corner of Lot 8 and the Northwest corner of Lot 15, said Block 4; and. <br /> <br />THENCE, in a Northeasterly direction along the common line <br />between Lot 8 and Lot 15 of Block 4, to a point, which is the South- <br />east corner of Lot 8 and the Northeast corner of Lot 15; and, <br /> <br />THENCE, in a Northwesterly direction along the common <br />line between Lot 8 and Lot 9 of Block 4 passing a point, which is <br />the Northeast corner of Lot 8 and in the ~theast right-of-way of <br />LaRue Drive, continuing across LaRue Dr4ve-to a point In the North- <br />west right-of-way line of said LaRue Drive; and, <br /> <br />THENCE, in a Southwesterly direction along the said North- <br />west right-of-way of LaRue Drive to a point; and, <br /> <br />THENCE, at right angles to the Northwest right-of-way line <br />of LaRue Drive to the Northeast corner of Lot 2, Block 4 and the <br />POINT OF BEGINNING. <br /> <br />
