<br />Alderman Ruiz. The Resolution, attached as a part of the Minutes, was
<br />read in full and discussed. Alderman Ruiz moved its apprDval; Alderman
<br />SerUr seconded the motion. On roll call, the following vote was recorded:

<br />The Mayor declared the Resolution Passed and Approved.

<br />The Mayor called attention to Item 7 of "City Manager Items", and direct-
<br />ed that it be writtenintD the Minutes as read aloudl
<br />
<br />"A recent issue of a pamphlet, dist:r'ibuted locally, made reference
<br />to a suit filed against B.R. Fuller as follows: 'and again the
<br />6 city lawyers will rUn tD his aid and mare city money will be
<br />spent.... FOr the record, the entire cost of the defense of this
<br />suit is charged tD B.R. Fuller personally and NO City funds will
<br />be used to pay fOr the. defense Df this suit unless authorized by
<br />the CDuncil in some s~~equentaction. ...

<br />An Ordinance authDrizing the issuance of Utility EXpense Warrants in
<br />the amount of $50,000 was introduced. The Ordinance, which is attached
<br />as a part of the Minutes, was read in full and discussed. Alderman PDDI
<br />moved its adoption. Alderman Ruiz seconded the mDtion, and Dn roll call,
<br />the follDwing vote was recorded;

<br />The MaYDr declared the Ordinance Passed, ApprDved and AdDpted.

<br />Alderman PDol moved that the City Manager prepare fDr consideration
<br />Df the Council an amendment tD the Subdivision Ordinance, tD omit
<br />any and all reimbursements for improvements in new subdivisions.
<br />Alderman Serur seconded the motion, which passed unanimDusly.
<br />
<br />The MaYDr read a letter from Behring & Behring,CDtton. BrDkers, re-
<br />questing that the City lay an 8-inch water line tD their compress far
<br />installatiDn of a sprinkler system. The Mayor' enquired if it were not
<br />the pDlicy of the City to extend service 60 feet fDr a new customer.
<br />The City' Manager said a request fOr anS-inch line had never been made
<br />befDre, but that it was the custom to extend service 60 feet to new
<br />customers. By CDmmDn consent it was agreed that the City Manager write
<br />Behring &.Behring that the City wDuld extend service 60 feettD the CDmpress.
<br />
<br />The City Manager distributed copies Df the 1964-1965 Budget. Date of the
<br />Public Hearing Dn the Budget was set for Monday, July 27, at 7,30 p.m.
<br />
