AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND CLOSING THAT PORTION OF TALBOT STREET BETWEEN BLOCK 3, ENOCH MOORE ADDITION AND BLOCK 4, C. C. MITCHELL ADDITION, GIVING AND GRANTING UNTO THE STATE OF TEXAS THE RIGHT AND PRIVI- LEGE TO PHYSICALLY CLOSE SAID PORTION OF SAID STREET FOREVER; AUTHORIZING THE CONVEYANCE OF ALL OF THE RIGHT, TITLE AND INTEREST OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS IN AND TO THE CLOSED AND VACATED PORTION OF SAID STREET UNTO THE STATE OF TEXAS FOR THE USE AND BENEFIT OF SOUTHWEST TEXAS STATE COLLEGE. ~ -~ /51 I Heretofore, the Governing Body has determined, and does hereby determine, that the hereinafter described portion of Talbot Street will not be needed or desired for the public use in the future; and it having been made known to the Governing Body of this city that the State of Texas has heretofore purchased, and is now the owner of, all property abutting on both sides of said portion of Talbot Street; that said State of Texas desires that formal action be taken by the Governing Body of this city vacating and olosing said portion of Talbot Street, and authorizing said State of Texas to phYSically olose the same; and said State of Texas has requested that all right, title and interest of this city in and to the I vacated and closed portion of said street be conveyed to the State,of Texas for the use and benefit of Southwest Texas State College. It has heretofore been determined by this Governing Body and is hereby now determined, that the hereinafter described portion of Talbot Street has been closed, abandoned and vacated, and that the same is not necessary or desirable for traffic; and that the best interests of the City of San Marcos will be served by the olosing of said portion of said street. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: SECTION 1. The; hereinafter described portion of Talbot Street within the corporate limits of the City of San Marcos, Texas, shall be, I and it is hereby olosed, abandoned, and vacated, the portion of said street hereby olosed, abandoned and vaoated being described as folbws;
