Jack B~rom <br /> <br />The Mayor called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. The Reverend <br />Jack Byrom, Pastor of First Baptist Church,gavethe Invocation. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The Minutes of the meetings of No v . 9 and Nov. 23, 1964, were <br />presented For approval. The Mayor called'attention to an inaccur- <br />acy on p.3 ~f the Nov. 9 Minut~s, recal ling that it wa~ Alderman <br />Serur, and not Mr. Taylor, who ;ntrdduced the subject of the traffic <br />problem at Au'tin and East San Antonio Streets oh~he S~uare. <br />Alderman Ruiz moved approval of the Minutes of the two meetings, with <br />the correction on page three of the Nov. 9 Minutes. The motion, <br />secjnded by Alderman Pool, passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Alderman Serur enquired about the Bicycle Ordinance. The City Man- <br />ager said it would be ready for the next regular meeting. The Mayor <br />enquired about acquisition of right-oF-way for the extension of RM 12. <br />The City Manager said it would be accomplished in time for the State <br />Highway Commission's next letting of contracts, Jan. 22, 1965. <br /> <br />By common consent, the Council approved the recommenda~ion of the <br />City Manager for procedure at Council meeting~, as made in a Memo- <br />randum at the Nov. 9 meeting. <br /> <br />The Mayor read a:1 oud a letter from James De Anda of Corpus Christi, <br />expressing appreciation to the City Council for courtesies extended <br />during the State Board Meeting of the G I Forum in San Marcos, <br />Dec. 6. <br /> <br />The Mayor introduced, a Resolution designating December IS, 1964 <br />as "San Marcos Ratt I ers Day", in honor of the San Marcos High <br />School football team. A copy of the Resolution is made a part of <br />the Minutes.
