Jack B~rom The Mayor called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. The Reverend Jack Byrom, Pastor of First Baptist Church,gavethe Invocation. I The Minutes of the meetings of No v . 9 and Nov. 23, 1964, were presented For approval. The Mayor called'attention to an inaccur- acy on p.3 ~f the Nov. 9 Minut~s, recal ling that it wa~ Alderman Serur, and not Mr. Taylor, who ;ntrdduced the subject of the traffic problem at Au'tin and East San Antonio Streets oh~he S~uare. Alderman Ruiz moved approval of the Minutes of the two meetings, with the correction on page three of the Nov. 9 Minutes. The motion, secjnded by Alderman Pool, passed unanimously. Alderman Serur enquired about the Bicycle Ordinance. The City Man- ager said it would be ready for the next regular meeting. The Mayor enquired about acquisition of right-oF-way for the extension of RM 12. The City Manager said it would be accomplished in time for the State Highway Commission's next letting of contracts, Jan. 22, 1965. By common consent, the Council approved the recommenda~ion of the City Manager for procedure at Council meeting~, as made in a Memo- randum at the Nov. 9 meeting. The Mayor read a:1 oud a letter from James De Anda of Corpus Christi, expressing appreciation to the City Council for courtesies extended during the State Board Meeting of the G I Forum in San Marcos, Dec. 6. The Mayor introduced, a Resolution designating December IS, 1964 as "San Marcos Ratt I ers Day", in honor of the San Marcos High School football team. A copy of the Resolution is made a part of the Minutes. Alderman Serur moved approval of the Resolution. Alderman Tuttle seconded the motion, which carried unanimously.
