<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br />1- <br />:c <br />:>-. <br />I~ <br />~. <br /> <br />r J <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING CERTAIN TERRITORY <br />ADJOINING THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF <br />SAN MARCOS, INTO SAID CITY OF SAN MARCOS. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the owner of a strip of land, said strip of land <br />not exceeding one-half 0/2) mile in width, being contiguous and <br />adjacent to the present residents, qualified to vote for members of <br />the State Legislature, has petitioned the City of San Marcos to <br />annex said strip of land within its municipal limits, a copy of <br />said petition being hereto attached, marked Exhibit "A" and made a <br />part hereof for all pertinent purposes; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it will be of signal advantage to the City of San <br />Marcos to annex said strip of land within its municipal limits; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of <br />the City of San Marcos, Texas, that the said strip of land, herein- <br />after described by metes and bounds, be and the same is hereby <br />received as a part of the City of San Marcos, and the corporate <br />limits of the City of San Marcos are hereby extended so as to include <br />said strip of land, and from henceforth the territory so received and <br />annexed shall be a part of the City of San Marcos, and shall be <br />bound by the acts and ordinances of said City in accordance with law. <br /> <br />SAID STRIP OF LAND is described by metes and bounds as <br />follows: <br /> <br />BEGINNING at a point in the City Limit Line which point <br />is the Northwest corner of Lot 4, Block 4, Oak Heights <br />Addition as recorded in Vol. 164, Page 586, of the Deed <br />Records of Hays County, Texas; and, <br /> <br />THENCE, in a Southeasterly direction along a common <br />line along Lots 3 and 4 to the Southwest corner of said <br />Lot 4; and, <br /> <br />THENCE, in a Northeasterly direction along the common <br />line between Lots 4 and 19, to the Southea s t corner of <br />said Lot 4; and, <br /> <br />THENCE, in a Northwesterly direction along the common <br />line between Lots 4 and 5 of Block 4, to a point in the <br />Southeast line of Larue Drive, which point is the North- <br />east corner of said Lot 4; and, <br /> <br />THENCE, along the Southeast line of Larue Drive (City <br />Limit Line) and the Northwest line of Lot 4, to the <br />PLACE OF BEGINNING, containing all of Lot 4, Block <br />4, Oak Heights Addition. <br /> <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this the 8th day of March, A.D., <br />1965. <br /> <br />/' ~ <br />~c <br />L&~ '__ 'ek~ <br />Mayor Pro-Tempore <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br /> <br />/1 Q(Q~ <br />
