<br />AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING CERTAIN TERRITORY
<br />ADJOINING THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF
<br />SAN MARCOS, INTO SAID CITY OF SAN MARCOS.

<br />WHEREAS, the owner of a strip of land, said strip of land
<br />not exceeding one-half (1(2) mile in width, being contiguous and
<br />adjacent to the present residents, qualified to vote for members of
<br />the State Legislature, has petitioned the City of San Marcos to
<br />annex said strip of land within its municipal limits, a copy of
<br />said petition being hereto attached, marked Exhibit "A" and made
<br />a part hereof for all pertinent purposes; and.
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, it will be of signal advantage to the City of San
<br />Marcos to annex said strip of land within its municipal boundaries;
<br />
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of
<br />the City of San Marcos, Texas, that the said strip of land. herein-
<br />after described by metes and bounds, be and the same is hereby
<br />received as a part of the City of San Marcos, and the corparate
<br />limits of the City of San Marcos are hereby extended so as to include
<br />said strip of land, and from henceforth the territory so received and
<br />annexed, shall be a part of the City of San Marcos, and shall be
<br />bound by the acts and ordinances of said City in accordance with
<br />law.

<br />SAID STRIP OF LAND is described by metes and bounds as
<br />
<br />follows:

<br />(a) Lots Nos. 400, 401, 402, and 403 of the Westover
<br />Addition to the City of San Marcos, together with all
<br />streets and alleys adjoining said lots, according to the
<br />map or plat of said addition of record in Vol. 59, pp.
<br />184-185, Hays County Deed Records. (b) Lots Nos. 1,
<br />2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 in Block 3 and Lots Nos. 1, 2, 3, 4,
<br />5, and 6 in Block 4 of the F. P. Dannelly Addition,
<br />together with all streets and alleys adjoining said
<br />lots, according the map or plat of said addition of record
<br />in Volume W., page 405, Hays County Deed Records. (c)
<br />That parcel of land, being a part of that real property con-
<br />veyed by and described in deed from Jack Perkins to John
<br />J. Stokes, such instrument being dated November 30, 1957,
<br />and of record in Vol. 169, p. 374, Hays County Deed
<br />Records, and being out of the T. J. Chambers Leag~e in
<br />Hays County, Texas, said parcel of land being described
<br />by metes and bounds as follows:

<br />BEGINNING at a point in the Northeast line of the Westover
<br />Addition, map or plat of said addition being of record in
<br />Vol. 59, pages 184-185, Hays County Deed Records, and
<br />said point being N. 440 58' W. a distance of 35.80 feet
<br />from the most Easterly corner of Lot No. 403 of said West-
<br />over Addition; and,

<br />THENCE. N. 440 58' ~est with the Northeast line of said
<br />Westover Addition, and continuing a total distance of
<br />250.22 feet to an iron stake in the Southeast line of the
<br />Z. Williamson, 3rd Addition, map or plat of said addition
<br />being of record in Vol. 59, p. 546, Hays County Deed
<br />Re c.ords; and,
<br />
<br />THENCE, N. 460 59' E. with the Southeast line of the Z.
<br />Williamson 3rd Addition a distance of 30.89 feet to the
<br />most Westerly corner of the F. P. Dannelley Addition, map
