<br />AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING CERTAIN TERRITORY
<br />ADJOINING THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF
<br />SAN MARCOS, INTO SAID CITY OF SAN MARCOS.

<br />WHEREAS, the owners of a strip of land, said strip of
<br />land not exceeding one-half (1/2) mile in width, being contiguous
<br />and adjacent to the present boundary line of the City of San Marcos,
<br />and further having les s than three residents, qualified to vote for
<br />members of the State Legislature, has petitioned the City of San
<br />Marcos to annex said strip of land within its municipal limits,
<br />a copy of said petition being hereto attached, marked Exhibit "A",
<br />and made a part hereof for all pertinent purposes; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, it will be of signal advantage to the City of
<br />San Marcos to annex said strip of land within its municipal limits:
<br />
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council
<br />of the City of San Marcos, Texa s, that the said strip of land,
<br />hereinafter described by metes and bounds, be and the same is
<br />hereby received as a part of the City of San Marcos, and the
<br />corporate limits of the City of San Marcos are hereby extended
<br />as to include said strip of land, and from henceforth the territory
<br />so received and annexed shall be bound by the acts and ordinances
<br />of said City in accordance with law.

<br />SAID STRIP OF LAND is described by metes and bounds as
<br />
<br />follows:

<br />BEGINNING at a point in the present City Limit Line which
<br />point is the Northeast corner of Lot 18, Block 5, Oak
<br />Heights Addition; and,
<br />
<br />THENCE, in a Northwesterly direction along the common
<br />line between Lots 7 and 8 of said Block 5 to a point
<br />in the Southeast right-of-way line of Dale Drive; and,
<br />
<br />THENCE, in a Northeasterly direction along the Southeast
<br />right-of-way line of Dale Drive to its intersection with
<br />the Southwest line of Stokes Street; and,
<br />
<br />THENCE, in a Southea sterly direction along the Southwest
<br />right-of-way line of Stokes Street to a point which point
<br />is the Northeast corner of Lot 13, Block 5, and a point
<br />in the present City Limits Line; and,
<br />
<br />THENCE, in a Southwesterly direction along the present
<br />City Limit Line being the Southeast line of Lots 12, 11,
<br />10, 9, and 8 of Block 5 to the PLACE OF BEGINNING,
<br />and includes all of Lots 8, 9, 10, ll, and 12 of Block 5,
<br />Oak Heights Addition.
