Banister, <br />Director of Local Public Agency (Urban Renewal Agency), <br />and a letter from Leonard Church, Regional Director <br />of Urban Renewal, see copies attached. The Mayor stated <br />that the City could contract with LPA for planning of the <br />GNRP under Urban Renewal,with an adequate staff, and that <br />it seemed to him presumptuous of Mr. Church to assume that <br />the City would not provide an adequate staff to do the work. <br />The City Manager reminded the Counci I that LPA had requested <br />the City to ass i st with the p I ann i ng on Chautauqua Hill Pro- <br />ject. He said it would be up to the City to determine per- <br />sonnel needed; Isom Hale was the engineer on Chautauqua Hi I I <br />Project, and Charles Granger, the planner. The matter was <br />thoroughly discussed. Alderman Whittenberg moved that the <br />City contract with LPA for planning of the GNRP. Alderman <br />Pool seconded the motion, with the added comment that LPA <br />should be told that the City is ready now for the contract. <br />The question being cal led for, the fol~ing vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: Damon, Pool, Tuttle, Whittenberg <br />NAY: None <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The Mayor declared the motion carried, and said he would <br />convey the City's action that afternoon to Herman Korff, <br />Chairman of the Local Public Agency. <br /> <br />The meeting adjourned at 2:45 p.m. _ <br /> <br />{~.
