Appl ication was <br />for approximately $14,800.00 in Federal funds to <br />oro~loy 20 young men and four young women between,the <br />ages of 16 and 21, for conservat i on and off ice work <br />for a period of 12 weeks. The City Manager explain'- <br />ed how the program wi I I be handled. Federal funds <br />wi II be used for 90% of the cost, the City's 10% <br />to be furnished "in kind". Fuller to make application <br />to Federal Aviation Agency, Office of Economic Oppor- <br />tunity, General Services Administration, or other ap- <br />propriate Federal agency for al I suitable air faci li- <br />ties declared surplus at Camp Gary. He requested the City <br />Secretary to read the letter aloud. Counci Imen dis- <br />cussed the appl ication in reference to the City's' <br />Taxicab Ordinance. Alderman Damon moved that the <br />application for franchise be approved by the Council, <br />provided the appl icant complies with provisions of <br />the Taxicab Ordinance.
