60 RESOLUTION 1981-38 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING A LEASE AGREEMENT BETWEEN SAID CITY AND JOE B. MILLICAN FOR LAND ADJACENT TO THE NORTH BOUNDARY OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS CONTACT STABILIZATION TREATMENT PLANT FOR THE PURPOSE OF DISPOSING OF SLUDGE FROM SAID PLANT, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OF SAID CITY TO EXECUTE SAID LEASE AGREEMENT AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City of San Marcos, Texas needs a site on which to dispose of sludge from the City's contact stabilization treatment plant, and, WHEREAS, Joe B. Millican owns real property located north of said contact stabilization treatment plant; and WHEREAS, Joe B. Millican is willing to lease said real property to the City of San Marcos for the purpose of removing sludge from said contact stabilization treatment plant; and WHEREAS, the City Council of said City wishes to lease said property from Joe B. Millican for the purpose of removing said sludge; BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: PART 1. That the lease agreement between the City of San Marcos, Texas, and Joe B. Millican for land owned by Millican located adjacent to the San Maracos contact stabilization treatment plant for purposes of disposing of sludge from said plant, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein for all intents and purposes, be, and is hereby, approved in all respects. PART 2. That the City Manager of the City of San Marcos, A.C. Gonzalez, be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute said lease agreement on behalf of said City. PART 3.
