<br />AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING CERTAIN TERRITORY
<br />ADJOINING THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF
<br />SAN MARCOS, INTO SAID CITY OF SAN MARCOS.

<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the owner of a strip of land, said strip of land
<br />not exceeding one-half (1(2) mile in width, being contiguous and
<br />adjacent to the present residents, qualified to vote for members of
<br />the State Legislature, has petitioned the City of San Marcos to an-
<br />nex said strip of land within its municipal limits, a copy of said
<br />peti tion being hereto attached, marked Exhibit "A" and made a part hereof
<br />for all pertinent purposes; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, it will be of signal advantage to the City of San
<br />Marcos to annex said strip of land within its municipal limits;
<br />
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the
<br />City of San Marcos, Texas, that the said strip of land, hereinafter
<br />described by metes and bounds, be and the same is hereby received
<br />as a part of the City of San Marcos, and the corporate limits of the
<br />City of San Marcos, and shall be bound by the acts and ordinances of
<br />said City in accordance with law.

<br />SAID STRIP OF LAND is described by metes and bounds as
<br />
<br />follows:
<br />
<br />BEGINNING at a point, being the intersection of the
<br />Northwest line of Prospect Street with the Southwest line
<br />of Feldmont Avenue, and also a point in the Northwest City
<br />Limit Line; andt
<br />

<br />THENCE, N 390 04' W 365.67 feet to the Southeast
<br />corner of Lot 252 Block 50, Westover Addn. to the City of
<br />San Marcos, as recorded in Vol. 59, Page 184 of the Deed
<br />Records of Hays County, Texas; and,
<br />
<br />THENCE, in a Northeasterly direction 81.5 feet along the
<br />Northeast side of said Westover Add., (Southwest Line of
<br />Feldmont Ave.), to a point in the Northeast Line of Lot
<br />253 of said Addn.;and,
<br />
<br />THENCE, S 45' 00' W, crossing Lot 253, a IS-foot alley,
<br />and Lot 250 a total distance of 315 feet, to a point in the
<br />Southwest Line of Lot 250 of the said Westover Addn.; and,
<br />
<br />THENCE, in a Southeasterly direction along the North-
<br />east Line of Dartmouth Street (Southwest line of Lots 250 and 251),
<br />a distance of 81.1 feet to the Southwest corner of Lot 251; and,
<br />
<br />THENCE, S 67' 40' E a distance of 45.2 feet to an iron pipe
<br />for the corner of a 2.072 acre tract; and,
<br />
<br />THENCE, S 45' 32'E 334.8 feet to a point, being the
<br />Southwest corner of said 2.072 acre tract, and a point in
<br />the Northwest Line of Prospect Street and the Northwest City
<br />Limit Line; and,
<br />
<br />THENCE, N 420 07' E 257.0 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING.
