<br />~D S <br /> <br />STATE OF TEXAS 1 <br /> <br />COUNTY OF HAYS X <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the undersigned owner of a strip of land contig- <br />uous and adjacent to the present boundary line of the City of San <br />Marcos, Texas. said strip of land not exceeding one-half (1/2) mile in <br />width and further being vacant and without residents, in accordance with <br />Section 974g of the VATS, hereby petitions the Governing Body of the <br />City of San Marcos, Texas, to accept said strip of land within its <br />corporate limits that it may receive all the benefits and privileges <br />of being a parr of the City of San Marcos, Texas; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a map of the area is attached hereto and marked as <br />Exhibit "An, the said strip of land being more particularly described <br />by metes and bounds as follows: <br /> <br />BEGINNING at a point, which point is the most South- <br />westerly corner of Lot 2 of the San Marcos Heights Addn. <br />and a point in the City Limit Line; and, <br /> <br />THENCE, in a Northwesterly direction along the N.E.City <br />Limit Line to a point at the intersection of the N. E. <br />Line of Chestnut Street and the South Line of Holland Street <br />and is the Northwest corner of Lot 1 in said San Marcos <br />Heights Addn; and, <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />THENCE, in a Northeasterly direction along the North- <br />west Line of Lot 1, Southeast line of Holland St., a dis- <br />tance of 132.31 feet to a point, said point being the North- <br />east corner of Lot 1 and the Northwest corner of Lot 10 <br />in said San Marcos Heights Addn; and, <br /> <br />THENCE, S 420 14' E a distance of 65.12 feet along <br />the common line between Lots 1 and 10 to a point; and, <br /> <br />THENCE, N450 4l'E along the common line between <br />Lots 2 and 10 to a point, which point is the Northeast corner <br />of Lot 2 and the Northwest corner of Lot 9, San Marcos <br />Heights Addn; and, <br /> <br />THENCE, S 420 14' E a distance of 75.0 feet to a point, <br />which point is the Southeast corner of Lot 2 and a point <br />in the Northwest Line of Lot 8 of San Marcos Heights <br />Addn; and, <br /> <br />THENCE, S 450 44' W 158.47 feet to the Southeast cor- <br />ner of Lot 2 being a point in the City LiIDit Line and THE <br />PLACE OF BEGINNING. <br /> <br />It is requested that this property, being all of Lots 1 <br />and 2, San Marcos Heights Addn., be annexed as "R" Single Family <br />Res i den ti aT. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />~,;"A!; ~ <br /> <br />rion W.
