<br />1- <br /> <br />regu I ar meet i ng, october II, 1965 <br /> <br />page SIX <br /> <br />01 have seen Mr. Ful leI" labor for several months <br />now, under a constant harassment; and in order to <br />relieve him of this pressure, I move that the Counci I <br />go on record at this time of giving Mr. Ful leI" notice <br />that his contract for employment as City Manager/Planner <br />wi II not be renewed as of June 30, 1966. <br />01 move that this Resolution be passed at this time.o <br /> <br />Mr. Froh's Resolution is attached as a part of the Minutes. <br /> <br />Alderman Whittenberg seconded the motion, with this comment: I <br />Dr second this motion because I've seen Mr. Fuller upset by <br />this harassmento. <br /> <br />Alderman Pool said:oThis night is one of surprises!O <br /> <br />The City Manager said: -This IS a personnel matter and <br />I request that it be handled In executive session.o <br /> <br />Alderman Froh said: _, made a motion; I think the public <br />should know what's going on. <br /> <br />The Mayor said: -This is not right or fair - it is highly <br />improper. I don't appreciate things like this being brought <br />up in open meeting. This should have been discussed with me, <br />and should have been brought up in executive session.- <br /> <br />Alderman Pool moved that the motion be tabled for further <br />study, There was no second. <br /> <br />After further discussion on the propriety of discussing <br />a personnel matter in open meeting, the question was cal led <br />for, with the following vote: <br /> <br />AYE: <br />NAY: <br /> <br />Damon, Froh, Tuttle, Whittenberg <br />Poo I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The Mayor declared the motion passed. <br /> <br />Archie Weatherford asked for the floor and made an appeal <br />for beautification of San Marcos, and asked that the Counci <br />prohibit junk yards within the City Limits. He said the <br />Counci I should pass an ordinance to that effect. He asked <br />if a permit were requ1red to operate a junk yard in the City. <br />The City Manager answered that it would depend on the Zoning <br />regulations.
