Whittenberg . ~ ~d present. the following was offered by Councilman whittenberg: RESOLUTION A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND SECRETARY OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS. TEXAS, TO EXECUTE A CONVEYANCE OF THAT 1.3 ACRE TRACT, KNOWN AS "THE SLOUGH", A PART OF THE J. M. VERAMENDI LEAGUE NUMBER TWO, AND A PART OF THE FORMER NllTIONllL FISH HATCHERY IN THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS, ITO TOM G. OLIVER. JR., AND HERNDON BRETT(DON) RUSSELL. AS TRUSTEES, FOR THE SUM OF $7,500.00 CASH. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: That the mayor and secretary of the City of San Marcos. Texas. be. and theT. are herebr. authorized to execute a conveyance of that 1.3 acre tract. known as 'The Slough'. a part of the J. M. Veramendi League Number Two. and also a I part of the former National Fish Hatchery in the City of San Marcos, Hays County, .1' Texas. described by metes and bounds as follows: From the point of intersection of the north line of Colorado Street with the east line of Union Street which is also the southwest corner of the T. K. Hutchins Survey; THENCE North 410 33' East 2,483.0 feet to a concrete monument; THENCE North 510 23' East 652.0 feet to a concrete monument; THENCE South 560 40' East 264.7 feet to a concrete monument; THENCE North 590 53' East 576.5 feet to a concrete monument; THENCE North 290 25' East 511.4 feet to a point, said point marking the southwesterly corner. and point or place of beginning of this description; II THENCE North 290 25' East a distance of 200 feet to a concrete monument being the northwesterly corner of this tract of land; THENCE South 540 05' East a distance of 293.4 feet to a concrete monument being the northeasterly corner of this tract of land; THENCE South 260 48' West a distance of 200 feet to a point; THENCE in a northwesterly direction to the point or place of beginning of this tract of land That the consideration for the execution and delivery of said conveyance shall be the sum of Seventy-Five Hundred Dollars ($7.500.00). such sum to be paid in cash. That the said conveyance be drawn in favor of Tom G. Oliver.
