The Mayor read aloud <br />an ordinance raising garbage collection rates. Caption <br />of the Ordinance is as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING CHARGES FOR THE PICKUP <br />OF GARBAGE WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF <br />SAN MARCOS INSOFAR AS RESIDENCES ARE CONCERNED; <br />PROVIDING THAT SUCH CHARGES ALLOW NO CREDITS FOR <br />VACANCIES; PROVIDING THAT SUCH CHARGES BE DEBITED <br />TO EACH ACTIVE WATER METER ACCOUNT; PROVIDING THAT <br />TRASH AND BRUSH PICKUP BE AVAILABLE ONCE PER WEEK <br />AS PART OF THE FIXED CHARGE IF THE CITY IS CALLED <br />UPON TO MAKE SUCH A PICKUP; PROVIDING FOR CHARGES <br />FOR THE PICKUP OF GARBAGE INSOFAR AS COMMERCIAL <br />ESTABLISHMENTS ARE CONCERNED; REPEALING ALL LAWS <br />IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND PROVIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Alderman Pool moved adoption of the Ordinance. Alderman Froh read the Ordinance <br />aloud.
