special meeting, apri I 22, 1966

page four

The Mayor introduced the subject of hiring a fiscal
agent from among those ]~teriviewed. Alderman Pool
enquired whether the two Counci Imen who were not
present at the interviews would accept the decision
of the balance of the Counci Imen. Alderman Froh said
he would abstain from voting, but was agreeable to let
those who interviewed the fiscal agents select one for
the City. Alderman Korff said he felt Gene Rourke of
Ranson & Co. had some ideas the others didn't present,
"although al I (the firms interviewed) are competent".
The Mayor suggested they narrow it down to two rep-
resentatives, to come back and talk to the whole Coun-
ci I informally. Dunbar, requesting authority to investigate the
possibi lity that Penzoi I Co. might offer the local
United Gas Co. system for sale. The letter setting
forth the Dunbar proposal is attached as a part of the
Minutes. The matter was thoroughly discussed. Alder-
man Korff moved that the Mayor be authorized to accept
Mr. Dunbar's proposal, since it in no way obligated
the City to any further action. Alderman Froh seconded
the motion, which passed unanimously.

Alderman Pool moved that the Counci I set the 2nd
Mondays, at 7:30 p.m., for regular meetings, and
or to complete all City business without special
Alderman Korff seconded the motion, which passed

and 4th
endeav-
meetings.
unanimously.

The meeting adjourned at 10:40 p.m.

I

~/~/ - /( /
-" U~ ~>Zv<-2-/

Ell is Serur
Mayor

.-' _,':J'/;>&{....J
Herman Korff
A I derman

Caesar A.
