<br />(1 1/2) ton capacity. <br /> <br />Story; The vertical distance bet~een the floor and ceiling not to exceed <br />15 feet. <br /> <br />Story-half: A story under a gable, hip, gamble roof, the floor area of which <br />does not exceed more than 15% of the area of the floor immediately below the half-story. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Street: Any thoroughfare or public driveway, other than an alley, and more <br />than twenty feet (20 ft.) in width, which has been dedicated or deeded to the <br />public for public use. <br /> <br />Street Line: A dividing line between a lot, tract or parcel of land and <br />a contiguous street. <br /> <br />Structural Alterations: Any change in supporting members of a building such <br />as bearing walls, colun~ns, girders, beams or the entire roof. <br /> <br />Tourist Court: One (1) or more buildings designed or used as temporary <br />living Quarters for automobile transients in which individual cooking facilities <br />mayor may not be provided. In all cases, one (1) off-street parking space shall <br />be provided for each room or suite of rooms in the tourist court. <br /> <br />Two-Family Dwellings: A building having separate accomodations for and oc- <br />cupied by not more than two (2) families. <br /> <br />Trailer Camp or Park: An area designed, arranged, or used for the parking <br />or storing of one (1) or more auto trailers which are occupied or intended for <br />occupancy as temporary living Quarters by individuals or families. <br /> <br />Used Car Lot: A lot or portion thereof to be used only for the display and <br />sale of automobiles that are in condition to be driven on or off the lot. A used <br />car lot shall not be used for the storage of wrecked automobiles, or the dismantling <br />of automobiles, or the storage of automobile parts. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />SECTION 5. DISTRICTS DESIGNATED: <br /> <br />A. The City of San Marcos is hereby divided into eight (5) types of "Dis- <br />tricts." The use and regulations shall be uniform in each district. These dis- <br />tricts shall be known as: <br />"R-l" Single-Family Dwelling District <br />"R_21t Duplex <br />"D" Multiple Family District <br />"M" Single, duplex, multiple family dwellings and neighborhood businesses. <br />"pH Public use including governmental, schools,parks, etc. <br />"P-I" Districts--(see Section 12) <br />"P-2" Districts--(see Section 12) <br />"ell Commercial including retail, wholesale, establishments offering ser- <br />vices and/or repairs. None may be engaged in manufacturing or processing. <br />"I" Industrial including manufacturing and processing plants. <br /> <br />b <br />I <br /> <br />B. The boundaries of these districts are indicated upon the Zoning Map <br />of the City which is adopted with and declared to be a part of this Chapter. <br />All notations, references, and other information shown upon said Zoning Map <br />is hereby made a part of this Ordinance, and shall be considered as much a part <br />of the same as if the matters of information set forth thereby were all fully <br />contained and described herein. Said map shall, on the face, be identified <br />and verified in the following manner: It shall bear title "ZONING MAP OF THE <br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS", and shall bear the names of the Governing Body, <br />the City Manager, and the Chairman of the Planning and Zoning Commission and <br />the date of its adoption. It shall bear the signature of the Mayor, attested <br />by the City Secretary, and the Official Seal of the City affixed thereto. Changes <br />and amendments shall be properly noted and dated. A replica thereof shall be <br />produced upon paper in such reduced scale as to permit said replica being attached <br />to the transcription of this Ordinance. <br /> <br />SECTION 6 PROHIBITED USE: <br /> <br />Upon and after lawful adoption of this Ordinance, no land shall be used and <br />no building shall be erected for or converted to, any use other than provided in <br />the regulations prescribed for the district in which it is located except as may <br />be hereinafter provided. <br />
