I I I 1 lo Ll STATE OF TEXAS COUNTY OF HAYS WHEREAS, the undersigned owner of a strip of land contiguous and adjacent to the present boundary line of the City of San Marcos, Texas, said strip of land not exceeding one-half (1/2) mile in width and fur- ther being vacant and without residents, in accordance with Section 974g of VATS, hereby petitions the Governing Body of the City of San Marcos, Texas, to accept said strip of land within its corporate limits that it may receive all the benefits and privileges of being a part of the City of San Marcos, Texas; and, WHEREAS, a map of the area is attached hereto and marked as Ex- hibit "A", the said strip of land being more particularly described by metes and bounds as follows: BEGINNING at a post N 440 E 60.33 feet from the Eastern corner of Lot 252 of the Westover Addition to the City of San Marcos, Texas; THENCE N 440 E 207.67 feet to angle corner of Lot 5 of the H. B. Jones First Addition to the City of San Marcos, Texas; THENCE S 460 E 351 feet to stake; THENCE S 410 51' W 249 feet to cedar post for corner; THENCE N 390 38' W 393.6 feet with the Northeast line of Feldmont Avenue to the place of beginning, containing 1.91 acres of land according to a survey made on the ground by O.
