AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING CERTAIN TERRITORY ADJOINING THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, INTO SAID CITY OF SAN MARCOS. I WHEREAS, the owner of a strip of land~aid strip of land not ex- ceeding one-half (1/2) mile in width, being contiguous and adjacent to the present residents, qualified to vote for members of the State Legis- lature has petitioned the City of San Marcos to annex said strip of land within its municipal limits, a copy of said petition being hereto at- tached, marked Exhibit "A" and made a part hereof for all pertinent purposes; and, WHEREAS, it will be of signal advantage to the City of San Marcos to annex said strip of land within its municipal limits: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of San Marcos, Texas, that the said strip of land, hereinafter described by metes and bounds, be and the same is hereby received as a part of the City of San Marcos, and the corporate limits of the City of San Marcos are hereby extended so as to include said strip of land, and from hence- forth the territory so received and annexed shall be a part of the City of San Marcos, and shall be bound by the acts and ordinances of said City in accordance with law. SAID STRIP OF LAND is described by metes and bounds as follows: BEGINNING at a post N 440 E 60.33 feet from the Eastern corner of Lot 252 of the Westover Addition to the City of San Marcos, Texas; THENCE N 440 E 207.67 feet to angle corner of Lot 5 of the H. B. Jones First Addition to the City of San Marcos, Texas; THENCE s 460 E 351 feet to stake; I THENCE S 410 57' W 249 feet to cedar post for corner; THENCE N 390 38' W 363.6 feet with the Northeast line of Feldmont Avenue to the place of beginning, containing 1.91 acres of land according to a survey made on the ground by O.
