<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />action to ensure that applicants are employed, and that employees <br />are treated during employment, without regard to their race, creed, <br />color, or national origin. This requirement shall apply to, but not <br />be limited to the following: employment, upgrading, demotion, or <br />transfer; recruitment or recruitment advertising; layoff or termi- <br />nation; rates of payor other forms of compensation; and selection <br />for training, would be covered by Executive Order 10925 (March 6, 1961) <br />or Executive Order 11114 (June 22, 1963), the Contractor shall in- <br />clude the equal-employment clause specified in section 301 of Execu- <br />tive Order 10925, as amended. <br />12. DISCRIMINATION PROHIBITED. No person in the United States shall, on <br />the ground of race, creed, color, or national origin, be excluded <br />from participation in, be denied the proceeds of, or be subject to <br />discrimination in the performance of this Contract. The Contractor <br />will comply with regulations promulgated by the Director of OEO, with <br />the approval of the President, pursuant to the Civil Rights Act of <br />1964 (45 C.F.R. Part 10IO). <br />13. POLITICAL ACTIVITY PROHIBITED. None of the funds, materials, property <br />or services contributed by the Agency or the Contractor under this <br />Contract shall be used in the performance of this Contract for any <br />partisan political activity, or to further the election or defeat of <br />any candidate for public office. <br />14. COMPLIANCE WITH LOCAL LAWS. The Contractor shall comply with all <br />applicable laws, ordinances, and codes of the State and local governments. <br />IS. RELIGIOUS ACTIVITY PROHIBITED. There shall be no religious worship, <br />instruction or prose1ytization as part of or in connection with the <br />performance of this Contract. <br />16. REPORTS AND INSPECTIONS. The Contractor shall make financial, program <br />progress, and other reports as requested by the Agency or the Director <br />of OEO, and will arrange for on-site inspections by Agency or OEO <br />representatives at the request of either. <br />
