Box 1906 <br />Victoria, Texas <br />4, BASIC ENGINEERING SERVICES: To be authorized in phases, by OWNER, <br />A, Preliminary Phase: (1) Discuss project with OWNER, (2) Make preliminary studies of proiect, (3) Prepare <br />___copies of preliminary layou1s, report, construction cost estimater and recommendations, where applicable. <br />(4) Provide any additional services authorized and to be paid for separately_ <br />See Paragraph 13 <br />B. Design phase: (1) PIon, arrange, and interpret results of required sur....eys, borings, and tests performed for <br />OWNER'S account. (2) Prepare, and furnish OWNER., J~ sets of contract drawings and specifications. (3) <br />Prepare cost estimate and bidding documents. (4) Provide any additional services authorized and to be paid <br />for separately. <br /> <br />C. Construction Phase: (1) If desired by OWNER, assist in securing and analyzing bids; recommend award. <br />(2) Administer construction contract. (3) Interpret drawings and specifications. (4) Review shop drawings, cant rae- <br />for(s pay estimates, and results of tests on materials dnd equipment, (5) Conduct final inspection. (6) Supervise <br />required performance tests or initial operation of project. (7) Provide any additional services (such as field <br />surveys or resident inspection) authorized and to be paid for separately. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />5, COMPENSATION FOR BASIC ENGINEERING SERVICES: <br />Engineer's compensation for the services described in 4, above, shall be within the range recommended by <br />the Texas Society of Professional Engineers for work of comporable magnitude and complexity. ADDITIONAL SERVICES: <br />Elements of work not considered as basic engineering services, and not included in the compensation there~ <br />for, indude~ (l) Soil borings and tests; mill, shop, or laboratory tests. (2) Field surveysj construclion staking. <br />(3) Resident inspectlon_ (4) Copies of reports, plans and specifications over ~copies. (5) Service as expert <br />witnessj preparation of engineering data for litigation; preparation of special reports or applications for permits <br />or grants. (6) Travel and subsistence to points other than ENG1NEER1S or OWNERJS offices and pro(ect location. <br />(7) Redesign required after completion and approval of preliminary plans. <br /> <br />,.
