The Mayor <br />suggested the City Attorney review the contract before <br />its execution. Alderman Damon moved approval of the <br />contract, subject to approval of the City Attorney. <br />Alderman Pool seconded the motion and on 1"0/ I cal I the <br />following vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: <br />NAY: <br /> <br />Damon, Korff, Pool, Whittenberg <br />None <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The Mayor declared the motion carried. <br /> <br />Mr. Klotz suggested the C,ounci I pass immediately the <br />required Resolution authorizing application for Fed- <br />eral programs, in relation to proposed engineering <br />projects. Alderman Pool moved that the City Manager <br />and Engineers be authorized to prepare a Resolution <br />approving the City's application for Federal programs. <br />Alderman Damon seconded the motion and on 1"01 I cal I <br />the fol lowing vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: <br />NAY: <br /> <br />Damon, Korff, Pool, Whittenberg <br />None <br /> <br />The Mayor declared the motion carried. <br /> <br />The Mayor reported on a joint meeting of County, School <br />and City officials with, representatives of three tax <br />evaluation fLrms. The Mayor named the three firms, and <br />their costs based on three participating agencies, or <br />two, as: Southwest Appraisal Co., $78,050.00 and I <br />$36,035.00; Ehrenborg Appraisal Co., $54,600.00 and <br />$21,600.00; and Barney Baker, Profess i ona I Appra i sers, <br />$74,800.00 and $30,750.00. Mr. Serur said he preferred <br />Ehrenborg to the other two. The representative said <br />the tax survey could be completed in nine months. <br />The Mayor said another joint meeting would be held Tues- <br />day, August 16, to make a final decision on the tax surV- <br />ey. After discussion, the City Manager suggested the <br />Mayor be empowered by the Council to act for the City at <br />the August 16 meeting. Alderman Whittenberg said he felt <br />the City should go on record as endorsing the joint <br />County-Schoo I-City tax survey. He moved that the City <br />participate, either with the two agencies, or either of <br />the other two.
