Alderman Damon moved approval of the contract, subject to approval of the City Attorney. Alderman Pool seconded the motion and on 1"0/ I cal I the following vote was recorded: AYE: NAY: Damon, Korff, Pool, Whittenberg None I The Mayor declared the motion carried. Mr. Klotz suggested the C,ounci I pass immediately the required Resolution authorizing application for Fed- eral programs, in relation to proposed engineering projects. Alderman Pool moved that the City Manager and Engineers be authorized to prepare a Resolution approving the City's application for Federal programs. Alderman Damon seconded the motion and on 1"01 I cal I the fol lowing vote was recorded: AYE: NAY: Damon, Korff, Pool, Whittenberg None The Mayor declared the motion carried. The Mayor reported on a joint meeting of County, School and City officials with, representatives of three tax evaluation fLrms. The Mayor named the three firms, and their costs based on three participating agencies, or two, as: Southwest Appraisal Co., $78,050.00 and I $36,035.00; Ehrenborg Appraisal Co., $54,600.00 and $21,600.00; and Barney Baker, Profess i ona I Appra i sers, $74,800.00 and $30,750.00. Mr. Serur said he preferred Ehrenborg to the other two. The representative said the tax survey could be completed in nine months. The Mayor said another joint meeting would be held Tues- day, August 16, to make a final decision on the tax surV- ey. After discussion, the City Manager suggested the Mayor be empowered by the Council to act for the City at the August 16 meeting. Alderman Whittenberg said he felt the City should go on record as endorsing the joint County-Schoo I-City tax survey. He moved that the City participate, either with the two agencies, or either of the other two.
