<br />The Mayor introduced and read aloud an Ordinance providing
<br />for the issuance of warrants in the amount of $30,000. The

<br />moved adoption of the Ordinance. Alderman Pool seconded
<br />the motion and on 1'01 I call, the following vote was recorded:

<br />The Mayor declared the Ordinance Passed, Approved and Adopted.

<br />The Mayor read aloud a Memo from Tax Assessor-Collector
<br />George C. Reed. It accompanied a I ist of necessary deduct-
<br />ions from the tax 1'01 I, see attached. Alderman Pool moved
<br />that the deductions be authorized, as listed. Alderman Korff
<br />seconded the motion and on roll cal" the following vote was
<br />recorded:

<br />The Mayor declared the motion carried.

<br />The Mayor named, with consent of the Counci I, the following
<br />persons to the Housing Board of Adjustments and Appeals:
<br />Joe Nicola, Dr. Ni Ion Tallant, George Walling, Melvin Freeman,
<br />and W.S. Rader. The Mayor said al I had agreed to serve.
<br />Jack Major, Bui Iding Inspector, wi II act as Bui Iding Official.

<br />Common consent, was given by the Counci I to the Mayor's re-
<br />appo i ntment of A II en Woods, Jack Harper and Herbert Eastwood
<br />to the Housing Authority Board of Commissioners.
<br />
<br />The Mayor called the Public Hearing on the 1967 Budget for
<br />7:30 p.m., Thursday, Sept. I. He said the tax rate would be
<br />set at that time.

<br />Alderman Pool, the City's "contact man" for Airport affairs,
<br />brought two letters before the Counci I. The first was from
<br />Martin A. Richter, leasee of the Municipal I\irpoi't "facilities.
<br />The letter, a copy of which is attached as a part of the Minutes,
<br />announced Mr. Richter's sale of Gateway Aviation Co. to Raymond
<br />A. Foster. The second letter was a request from Mr. Foster of
<br />Gen-Aero, Inc., International Airport, San Antonio, to lease
<br />the Airport faci I ities, see attached. Dr. Pool introduced
<br />Mr. Foster, who explained to the Counc; I his plans for operation
<br />of the Airport, ; f granted the I ease. Dr. Poo I introduced
