Joe <br />Hawkins <br /> <br />The Mayor cal led the meeting to order Bt 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />The Minutes of the meet i ngs of November 28 and December 5, 1966 <br />were approved as presented, on mot i on of A Idermari Poo I and <br />second of A I derman Damon. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />First order of business was consideratio~ of sealed bids on <br />two police cars. The Mayor announced that Allen Motor Company <br />and Scrutchin-Cauthorn Motor Company had submitted bids. <br />A general discussion ensued after it Was ascertained that the <br />second request for bids had been carried in person by the Chief <br />of Police to al r five car dealers in San Marcos. General regret <br />was expressed that mo~e bids were. not received. The City Manager <br />said the ~ew call for bids differed in two items from the previous <br />request for bid. After more discussion, the Mayor was asked to <br />open the bids. AI 'en Motor Company bid $6295 on two 1967 Dodge <br />cars, with an allowance of the two cars to he turned in, of <br />$2231 , making the net b j d$4064. Scrutchi n-Cauthorn' s net bid <br />on two B i scayne Chevro I et cars, w'ith trade- i ns, Was $3,789.86. <br />On mot i on of A I derman Poo I, and common consent of the Counc i I, it <br />was agreed to accept the low bid, all things being commensurate. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The Mayor read aloud a petition for annexation of portions <br />of B\uebonnetDrive and Walnut Street, signed by 0.0. Scott and <br />his wife, Nancy B.Scott. It was explained that annexation of <br />the port ions of B I uebo~net and Wal nut wou I d make the Scott prop- <br />erty contiguous to the City Limits line. A plat which accompanied <br />the petition was examined by the Counci Imen. Alderman Pool moved <br />that the COline i I rece ive the peti t ion. A' derman Damon seconded <br />the motion, and onrol I call, the following vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE; <br />NAY: <br /> <br />Damon, Korff, Pool <br />None <br /> <br />The Mayor declared the motion carried. <br />
