<br />regular meeting, december 12, 1966 <br /> <br />page two <br /> <br />The Mayor read aloud a petition for annexation of <br />the North! of Lot I, and al I of Lot 2, Block 4, <br />Forest Hi I I Addition, signed by the owners, O.D. <br />Scott and wife, Nancy B. Scott. Alderman Pool <br />moved that the Council accept the petition. <br />Alderman Damon seconded the motion and on rol I <br />ca", the following vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: <br />NAY: <br /> <br />Damon, Korff, Pool <br />None <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The Mayor declared the motion carried. <br /> <br />The Mayor read aloud a letter from H. Garland Stokes, <br />see attached. Mr. Stokes made a proposal that he <br />pay $2500 on the cost of a sewer line to serve four <br />houses he plans to build in Oak Heights. Alderman <br />Pool moved that the proposal be accepted. Alderman <br />Oamon seconded the motion. Ful I discussion ensued. <br />The City .Manager showed the Counci I a map of the <br />area, which he said was "difficult to serve". <br />Mr. Wolff said if the Counci I accepted the Stokes <br />proposal, he would recommend that a lift station be <br />located in an adjacent area. In response to the Mayor's <br />question, the City Manager said $2500 was a fair price <br />for the proposed sewer line. Alderman Damon asked if <br />many proposals of this type were made the City. Mr. <br />Wolff said the only one he knew of was W.S. Rader's <br />offer, which was accepted by the City. The question <br />being called for, the following vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: <br />NAY: <br /> <br />Damon, Korff, Pool <br />None <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The Mayor declared the motion carried. <br /> <br />The City Manager brought before the Counci I the insurance <br />company'~ offer of settlement on the fire at the "Girl <br />Scout House" on the Gilcrease property. He recommended <br />that the offer of $64&1.63 be accepted. Alderman Korff <br />moved that the claim be settled for $6481.63. Alderman <br />Damon seconded the motion and on roll call, the fol low- <br />ing vote wa~ recorded: . <br /> <br />AYE: <br />NAY: <br /> <br />Damon, Korff, Pool <br />None <br /> <br />The Mayor declared the motion carried, and signed the <br />insurance form for the City. <br /> <br />Mr. Serur announced that lockwood, Andrews &. Newnam, <br />Planners for the City, had asked. for a special meeting <br />with the Council and the Planning & Zoning Commission <br />for Wednesday, December 14, at 7:00 p.m. Purpose of <br />the meeting was to give a first report on the Compre- <br />hensive Urban Plan being prepared for the City of San <br />Marcos. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />( <br />
