Eugene Jennings, Rector of St. Mark's Church, gave the Invocation <br /> <br />Minutes of the Dec. 12 & 14, 1966 meetings were approved unani- <br />mously, on motion of Alderman Froh, and second of Alderman Damon. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The Rev. C.E. Jennings, Chairman of the Charter Commission <br />elected Ju ne 21, 1966, presented the Mayor a copy of the pro- <br />posed Charter signed by members of the Commission. Quoting <br />in part from the ~inal Article of the Charter, Father Jehnings <br />said: "... the Charter Commission directs that the said Charter <br />be voted upon as a whole and that it shal I be submitted to the <br />qual ified voters of the City of San Marcos at an election to be <br />he I dfor that purpose on February 24, 1967..." A copy of the <br />proposed Charter is made a part of the Minutes. <br />The Mayor commended the Charter Commission members for their <br />diligence and dedication to the task, and set the election <br />for February 24, 1967. <br /> <br />Mrs. W.A. Wyatt, Chairman and spokesman for the Hays County <br />Historical Survey Committee, appeared before the Counci I to <br />discuss the critical need for a museum to house a valuable <br />collection. She proposed that the Swisher and Pitts houses <br />scheduled to be preserved in the General Neighborhood Renew~1 <br />Plan, be combined to provide a museum. Mrs. Wyatt said other <br />
