Alder- <br />man Korff seconded the motion and on roll cal I the <br />fo J low i ng vote. was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: <br />NAY; <br /> <br />Damon, Korff, Pool <br />Froh, Whittenberg <br /> <br />The M~yordec~aredthe motion carried, <br /> <br />The City Manager read aloud a Financial Report for the <br />City, as of 4:00 p.m., January 30, 1967. The finan- <br />cial status of the City was discussed. Alderman Damon <br />commended Mr. Wolff and his staff for the preparation <br />of the.report. <br /> <br />Mr. Wolff reported on h.i s d i scussi on with the U.S. <br />torps of Engineers on the 375-acre Potters Creek Park <br />site offered the City of San Marcos at Canyon Dam. <br />The City Manager e~plaine~ in detail what operation <br />of. the park would involve, He said Jacob's Creek Park <br />site, which comprises 200 acres, had originally been <br />offered the,City of New Braunfels. If it is not ac- <br />cepted by that city,it would be ~vai lable for consid- <br />eration by the City of San Marcos. The smal~er acreage <br />would ~ost less to operate, After discussion, the <br />Counc i I instructed the City M~nager to inform the Corps <br />of Engineers that San Marcos would like to be consider- <br />ed for Jacob's Creek, if avai labre, and ,to keep the offer <br />of Potters Creek open. . <br /> <br />The Mayor read aloud a letter from the Texas Highway <br />Departm~nt, requesting'that paral lei parking be per- <br />mitted on the portion of Guadalupe Street from Comal <br />to Cheatham. Alderman Korff moved that the request be <br />granted. Alderman Pool seconded the, motion. The matter <br />was discussed. On rol I cal I, the fol lowing vote was <br />recorded; <br /> <br />AYE; <br />NAY: <br /> <br />Korff, Poo I <br />Damon, Froh. Whittenberg <br /> <br />The Mayor declared the motion defeated. <br /> <br />The Mayor introduced and read aloud a Resolution deal ing <br />with land acquisition under Housing and Urban Development <br />laws and regulations. Mr. Serur explained that it was <br />necessary to pass this Resolution 6efore the City's appli- <br />cation for a federal water and sewer. grant could be sub- <br />mitted. Alderman Pool moved approval ,of the, Resolution, <br />attached as a part of the Minutes, Alderman Damon second- <br />ed the motion and on rol I call. the fol lowing vote was <br />recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: <br />NAY: <br /> <br />Damon.
