<br />garbage collection units warrants ordinance <br /> <br />NOTICE OF INTENTION TO ISSUE TIME WARRANTS BY THE <br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS <br /> <br />Notice is hereby given by the City Council of the City <br />of San Marcos, Texas, to issue TIME WARRANTS for the pur- <br />pose of financing the purchase of the following described <br />equipment, <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />(a) Two (2) eighteen cubic yard rear-loading refuse <br />collecting bodies mounted on 1967 Chevrolet trucks. <br />(b) Two (2) 1967 police cars. <br />(c) One (1) used tractor-loader. <br /> <br />Such warrants shall be in the total amount of $26,938.86, <br />such sum to bear interest at the rate of 4~% per annum, to <br />be payable on or before 5 years from date thereof, and shall <br />be issued on or before the 13th day of February, 1967, unless <br />prior to said date ten percent of the qualified voters of <br />the City of San Marcos, whose names appear on the last ap- <br />proved tax rolls as property taxpayers, petition the City <br />Council in writing to submit to a referendum vote the <br />question as to the issuance of said warrants for such <br />purposes. <br /> <br />( SEA L <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SAN MARCOS, TEXAS <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />By /s/ Ellis Serur, Mayor <br /> <br />/s/ Dorothy O. Worrell <br />City Secretary <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it further appears and the City Council affir- <br />matively so finds and declares that no protest or other objection <br />has been filed with or presented to the City Secretary, or the <br />Mayor, or the City Council, by ten percent in number of the qualified <br />voters in said City, whose names appear in the last approved tax <br />rolls as property tax payers, or by any other number of the <br />qualified voters of said City, requesting a referendum vote, or <br />otherwise protesting, or objecting to, the issuance of said <br />interest bearing time warrants in payment for said garbage <br />collection units; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the pak-Mor Manufacturing Company, San Antonio, <br />Texas, has submitted the lowest bid, namely $16,349.00, for <br />two garbage collection units meeting the specifications set <br />forth in the above notice; <br /> <br />THEREFORE, be it ordained by the City Council of the <br />City of San Marcos, Texas: <br /> <br />That the City Council of the City of San Marcos, Texas, <br />does hereby authorize the Mayor and City Secretary to accept <br />from said Pak-Mor Manufacturing Company of San Antonio, the <br />two garbage collection units described in said Company's bid, <br />namely, <br /> <br />A, Garbage Body <br /> <br /> l. <br />I 2. <br />3. <br />4. <br /> 5. <br /> 6. <br /> 7. <br /> 8. <br /> 9. <br /> <br />Rear end loader ~ype <br />18 cu. yd. capacity excluding loading chamber <br />Hydraulic operated packer & ejection plate <br />Outside controls for packer operation <br />Standard hydraulic fittings & hoses <br />Power take-off <br />Tail lights, turn indicator lights, clearance <br />lights, reflectors, & mud flaps to comply with <br />ICC & State regulations <br />Painted off-white to match truck chassis, two <br />coats over primer <br />Ejection type unloading <br /> <br />(,n~ <br />
