I AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, MAKING PROVISION FOR THE PURCHASE OF AND PAYMENT FOR TWO POLICE CARS;PRO~, VISION FOR THE ISSUANCE OF $3,750.00 AT 4 1/2% TIME WARRANTS BY SAID CITY IN PAYMENT FOR SAID POLICE CARSy PROVIDING FOR THE LEVY AND COLLECTION OF TAXES ON ALL TAXABLE PROPERTY IN SAID CITY IN AN AMOUNT SUFFICIENT TO PAY THE INTEREST ON SUCH WARRANTS AND THE PRINCIPAL THEREOF AT MATURITY.- I WHEREAS, on or about the 28th day of November, 1966, the City Council declared its intention to purchase two police cars with the following minimum specifications: a, One hundred and nineteen inch wheel base b. V-8 engine - 380 cubic inch minimum displacement - 300 HP minimum c. White color d, 8.15 x 15 4-ply nylon tires e. Heater and defroster f. Standard transmission g. Heavy duty foam rubber seats h. Heavy duty spring suspension (heavy duty shock absorbers, heavy duty brakes) i, Heavy duty radiator and fan j, Turn indicators k, 8ack-up 1 ights 1. Heavy duty vinyl seat covers and trim m, 55 amp alternator n. 70 amp hour battery 0, Calibrated police speedometer p, Spotlight q, Seat belts (front only) r. Wind shield wipers (two speed) with washers s. Outside view mirrors (both sides) WHEREAS, in conformity with said expressed intention of the City Council, appropriate notice was executed and caused to be published once a week for two consecutive weeks, first publication being on December 1, 1966, and the second publication being on December 8, 1966, which is set forth as follows, to-wit: NOTICE TO 8IDDERS Bids will be received in the office of the City Secretary on or before noon December 9, 1966, for two (2) 1967 four-door sedans with the following minimum specifications: I a.
