The City of <br />San Marcos reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids. <br /> <br />and, <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on or about the 23 day of January, 1967 the <br />City Council declared its intention to pay for said police cars <br />by the issuance of interest bearing time warrants; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in conformity with said expressed intention of <br />the City Council, the Mayor of the City of San Marcos executed <br />and caused appropriate notice to be published once a week for two <br />consecutive weeks, the first publication being on January 26, 1967, <br />and the second pUblication being on February 2, 1967, which notice <br />is set forth as follows, to-wit: <br /> <br />NOTICE OF INTENTION TO ISSUE TIME WARRANTS BY THE <br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS <br /> <br />Notice is hereby given by the City Council of the <br />City of San Marcos, Texas to issue TIME WARRANTS for <br />the purpose of financing the purchase of the following <br />described equipment: <br /> <br />(a) Two (2) eighteen cubic yeard rear-loading re- <br />fuse collecting bodies mounted on 1967 Chevrolet <br />trucks. <br />(b) Two (2) 1967 police cars. <br />(c) One (1) used tractor-loader. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Such warrants shall be in the total amount of <br />$26,938.86, such sum to bear interest at the rate of <br />4 1/2% per annum, to be payable on or before 5 years <br />from date thereof, and shall be issued on or before <br />the 13th day of February, 1967, unless prior to said <br />date ten percent of the qualified voters of the City <br />of San Marcos, whose names appear on the last approved <br />tax rolls as property taxpayers, petition the City <br />Council in writing to submit to a referendum vote the <br />question as to the issuance of said warrants for such <br />purposes. <br /> <br />( SEA L <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SAN MARCOS, TEXAS <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />By /s/ Ellis Serur, Mayor <br /> <br />/s/ Dorothy O.
