<br />WHEREAS, the Scrutchin-Cauthorn Motors of San Marcos, Texas, has
<br />submitted the lowest bid, namely $3,789.86, for two police cars meeting
<br />the specifications set forth in the above notice;

<br />THEREFORE, be it ordained by the City Council of the City of San
<br />Marcos, Texas:

<br />That the City Council of the City of San Marcos, Texas, does
<br />hereby authorize the Mayor and City Secretary to accept from said
<br />Scrutchin-Cauthorn Motors of San Marcos, the two police cars described in
<br />said Company's bid, namely,
<br />
<br />a. One, hundred and nineteen inch wheel base
<br />b, V-8 engine - 380 cubic inch minimum displacement - 300 HP
<br />minimum

<br />That the Mayor and City Secretary are further hereby authorized
<br />to make payment for said police cars by the issuance of four time warrants
<br />in the following form:

<br />The City of San Marcos, a municipal corporation in the County of
<br />Hays, State of Texas, for value received, acknowledges its indebtedness and
<br />hereby promises to pay to Scrutchin-Cauthorn Motors or order, on or before
<br />the 15th day of March, 1968, the sum of Nine Hundred Thirty Seven and 50/100
<br />Dollars ($937,50) in lawful money of the United States of America, with
<br />interest thereon from date hereof until paid, at the rate of 4 1/2% per
<br />annum, payable on or before the 15th day of March, 1968, and annually
<br />thereafter on the 15th day of March of each succeeding year for a total of
<br />four years, which interest is evidenced by a coupon or coupons attached
<br />hereto. Principal and interest are payable to the Scrutchin-Cauthorn
<br />Motors or order at The State Bank and Trust Company of San Marcos, in San
<br />Marcos, Texas, upon presentation and surrender of warrants and proper coupons,
<br />and the City Treasurer is authorized, ordered and directed to pay to the
<br />bearer of said warrants, said principal sum and interest as the same respec-
<br />tively mature. In the event that the sum or sums of money evidenced by this
<br />warrant and/or the annexed coupon or coupons shall not be paid at maturity,
<br />the same shall thereafter bear interest at the rate of 5% per annum until
<br />paid.

<br />This warrant is one of a series of warrants of like date and tenor,
<br />exept serial numbers and maturities, numbered consecutively from 1 to 4,
<br />inclusively, each of the denomination of $937.50, and each due, respectively,
<br />1, 2, 3 and 4 years after date, aggregating $3,750.00, issued for the pur-
<br />pose of evidencing the indebtedness of said City of San Marcos for the
<br />
