<br />police cars warrants ordinance <br /> <br />purchase price of two police cars from said Scruthin-Cauthorn Motors, <br />pursuant to an ordinance passed by the City Council of said City, <br />which ordinance is of record in the minutes of said Council. Provided <br />further that anyone or more of said warrants may be redeemed by the <br />said City of San Marcos at any time or times with interest to cease <br />to run on the redeemed warrant or warrants from the date or dates <br />of such redemption or redemptions. <br /> <br />The date of this warrant in conformity with the above- <br />mentioned ordinance is the 15th day of March, 1967. <br /> <br />IT IS HEREBY CERTIFIED AND RECITED that all acts, con- <br />ditions and things required to be done precendent to, and in the <br />issuance of this warrant and this series of warrants, has been <br />properly done, has happened and been performed in regular and <br />due time, form and manner as required by law; and that the total <br />indebtedness of said City, including this warrant and the entire <br />series of which it is a part, does not exceed any constitutional <br />statutory limitations; that a sufficient tax to pay the principal <br />of and the interest on this warrant, and the series of which it <br />is a part, has been levied for said purposes and will be annually <br />levied, assessed and collected while said warrants, or any of them, <br />are outstanding, <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, the City Council of the City of <br />San Marcos, has caused the seal of said City to be affixed hereto <br />and this warrant to be signed by the Mayor and countersigned by <br />the City Secretary, and the interest coupons hereto attached to <br />be executed by the signatures of said officials, as of the 15th <br />day of March, 1967, and registered by the City Treasurer. <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br />COUNTERSIGNED: <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />City Secretary <br /> <br />Registered this the 15th day of March, 1967. <br /> <br />City Treasurer <br /> <br />That the interest coupons to be attached to each of <br />said warrants shall be in the following form: <br /> <br />NO, 1. <br /> <br />$42.19 <br /> <br />On the 15th day of March, 1968, the City of San Marcos, <br />Texas, will pay to bearer, at The State Bank & Trust Company of <br />San Marcos, in San Marcos, Texas, the sum of $42.19, being twelve <br />months interest due upon that date by City of San Marcos Warrant <br />No.1, dated the 15th day of March, 1968. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br />City Secretary <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that to pay the interest on said <br />warrants and create a sinking fund with which to pay the principal <br />thereof as it matures, a tax at a rate sufficient for such purpose <br />is hereby levied against all taxable property in said City for the <br />year 1967, and for each succeeding year in which said warrants, or <br />any of them, are outstanding. <br /> <br />1,6H <br />
